The Submissive
question
compared to fifty shades..........

Ok so it is no secret that both fifty shades of grey and the submissive are both fan fics. Which one do you think is a better story overall? For me, I think that the submissive has a much stronger plot line. The characters are more developed, the s&m is closer to "real" s&m relationships, and to me It's just more entertaining. Don't get me wrong, I ADORE fifty shades of grey, but does anyone else feel that this series deserves more "hype" than fifty shades got?

That's a great question and I think that its hard to compare the two. I loved The Submissive and I've read The Dominant which is book #2 in the series. I didn't find that these two series compare at all. First off Abby sought out Nathantiel to be his submissive which Ana didn't do. Sure Christian and Nathanitiel are both stinking rich alpha males but that is as far as I see the connection.
Both series are great and I'd recommend them both.

I didn't think these two are comparable either. These books were very lackluster to me and the characterization was so limited. The relationship dynamic between all the characters were very weird and it didn't come through clearly in the story as the author tried to make it. Saying that someone is "very close" to there friends or family doesn't actually make it come through clearly to the reader.
While FSOG wasn't the masterpiece a lot of people like to believe it is, the character were well rounded and thought out with explanations and back stories to help us understand them better. These books werent the same.
I will admit, The Training was much better. The Dominant was a pointless book to me because there was only 3 parts of The Submissive that the reader was wondering about his thoughts.
So all in all, FSOG was a way better written book(which is saying something from me because I wasn't that impressed with the writing) and the story was more thought out in comparison to this book.

did any one else get the feeling that Anastasia was just trying to get the dominant side of christian out of the bedroom. she wanted him to enjoy vanilla sex she was trying to change his dominant nature instead of letting him be himself. thats not what a submissive does. they were a horrible match from the start. she wasnt the right woman she didnt satisfy his original needs she made him believe he didnt need the life he lived. she was very selfish
i really enjoyed both and found that they sated a different reading desire that i have. i never really thought of the submissive as being fan fic so that's interesting to think about - but i guess it makes sense.
i love any stories that give us these really alpha domineering men and just get a sense of how they teach their submissive to be what they want.
