This is a place where campers can either relax on the shore or swim in the glittering waters of the lake. Greenery surrounds this wonderful, calming place.

((Izzy))Beck was sitting, legs crossed, on the shore of the lake. His eyes were narrowed, concentrating on using heat to push away the small waves licking the sand in front of him. Whoever saw him would think he was incredibly confident, or even crazy, since he was a Fire. Normally, a person would sweat under this much work, but the droplets dried off before they had a chance to bead on his head. He didn't have someone to hang out with today, so he thought some practice would do.
Izzy noticed him sitting on his own. He looked like he was concentrating rather hard so she thought it would be a better idea not to startle him. She hadn't been at the camp very long and as the water calmed her down she had decided to come down to the lake. She carefully sat down near to him but not too close.
Beck otherwise wouldn't have noticed, but the person sitting next to him gave off a strong water aura, and it made his concentration waver. He quickly backed away from the shore. Then he looked over at the young girl. "Why, hello there," he said, putting on his trademark smile.
"Hi" she smiled nervously. She had been told to be wary around the fire manimentals but he seemed friendly and she was curious. "What were you doing?" she asked.
Beck chuckled, scooting over to the girl. "I guess what any fire manimental would do at a lake. Try to stay dry. Which is funny. You'd think, why do we go there in the first place?" He shook his hair out, which was damp. "Are you here to do some water meditation? I've seen a lot of that lately." He was only teasing, he knew the elements calmed the people who posessed them. Water and fire were always rivals, but Beck looked past that.
She grinned at him. She liked his cheerfulness. "Maybe something like that. The lake is a good place for it." She thought for a moment. "If you don't like getting wet maybe it should be the fire manimentals that get the power to dry themselves off rather than the water ones." She was only teasing back as she was trying really hard to get new friends at camp which isn't easy when you're shy.
Beck nodded. "Yeah. Costello really should've thought of that atleast. You know, before trying to destroy the world," he said, a bit more quietly. It was pretty much a death wish to joke about the war, but again, Beck defied many rules. "Anyway, Isabelle right? What year are you in? You might be able to help me out, since you would be pretty much the perfect person to practice with." He didn't want to make her uncomfortable, but water and fire resisted each other the most, so things would get interesting.
"You can call me Izzy and I'm in first" she said. "But... is it safe to practice with opposite elements? I mean I haven't really done much practice at all!"
Beck thought for a moment. "Well, Izzy. It's not exactly safe, but nothing that can't be fixed. It is magic, after all," he said, starting to stand up. "You can be offense. I'll defend myself against you. And if you say you're worried I'll get hurt, I'll be offended." He grinned.
Karneval had just been walking by, drinking a bottle of sake that her father had given her, when she noticed the little child from her cabin. She made her way towards her, but stopped once she saw the head of their counterpart, fire.. Her eyes narrowed and she quickened her pace, arriving next to the youth. She looked straight at Beck and spoke in a cold tone. "Are you bothering her?" Val asked, aggravated that someone might be bullying izzy.
"Oh no, it's fine Val." Izzy said quickly. "We were just going to do some practice but thanks for your concern." She smiled at Val then looked back at Beck. "Then I won't be worried if you get hurt then, I wouldn't want to offend you." She giggled nervously suddenly uncomfortable with the though of the two heads of opposite cabins having an argument.
Beck met Karneval's gaze, raising an eyebrow. There was obvious tension between them, but he always made sure to be the better sport. "Why would I be bothering her?" he asked, still keeping that almost mocking grin. He could sense Izzy getting really nervous from her giggles. "Awesome. How 'bout you try and splash me. It's easier to use the lake water as a source. I'm sure Val already taught you that." He looked over quickly at the green-haired girl. Beck didn't mind showing off his knowledge, especially since he was taught about all elements practically from birth.
Val nodded."Alright, be careful then. Ill be sitting nearby just in case something goes wrong." She said and looked around for a place to sit. She had completley ignored Beck. She saw a tree and ran to it, jumping on the base as she neared it and reaching for a branch. Grabbing it, she twisted her body and kicked the middle of the tree for a push, landing untop the branch and balancing herself so she wouldnt fall. She sat, crossing her legs, and watching the two mentals who were about to practice with each other."Ill just be sitting here, watching you guys!" She shouted to them from her high place on the tree.
Izzy cheerfully waved at Val before turning back to Beck. "Alright then." Before he had time to react she managed to make a small wave that soaked Beck's bottom half. She started giggling. "I'm not very good but I have to say you make it easier when you stand so close to the water."
Beck tried not to roll his eyes at the older girl. He had to act friendly, or else there would be a bit of a fight. Two against one. When she tried climbing the tree like a ninja, Beck actually did roll his eyes. Show off, I bet you think you're too good for the ground as well, he thought. He turned his attention back to Izzy, a little too late. She had already gotten the majority of his jeans soaked. Beck let out a small shriek, mostly out of surprise. The water was cold. "I wasn't paying attention. You need to give me a chance to actually defend myself! But I didn't doubt you, Izzy," he said, laughing. The water always felt especially cold and wet on him, making his clothes cling to his skin and weigh him down. "Ok, this time, I'm putting up a heat barrier. See if you can break through it." He readied himself.
Val tried not to laugh when Izzy sent a wave of water towards Beck and soaked his pants, but she couldn't help it when she heard him shriek in surprise. She laughed and covered her mouth with one hand. She held her stomach and calmed herself down. She let out a breath and continued watching. 'This will be a good show.' She thought.
"Ok" she replied "I'll play by your rules this time!" She tried to send another wave at Beck but his wall of heat meant the water kept evaporating before it hit him. "You really are making this hard for me aren't you!" she panted as she sent another wave that just evapourated. She needed a new tactic.
When Val started lUghing at him, Beck didn't look up. Instead he said, "Don't enjoy yourself too much up therem." He then focused to make sure his barrier was working. Sure enough, it was, since Izzy wasn't getting any more water on him. "Don't discourage yourself, you're doing great. Most first years can't even form a wave." He smiled, remembering his own times as a first year. It wasn't easy. "Now I want you to relax a little. At this rate, you might pass out. Let's try something fun. To make this a more interesting spectacle for dear Val up there." He started ziggzaging with a slight skip in his step, igniting tiny balls of fire here and there in the sand. He gestured to Izzy, giving her room to put them out.
Val leaned forward interested at what Beck was doing. She saw him ignite fire balls wherever he stepped and when he finished, Beck gestured for Izzy to put them out. 'What a weird guy he is.' Val thought and scooted closer to the edge of the branch to get a better view.
When the balls of fire appeared Izzy suddenly got more interested. She used the water from the lake and washed straight over them. "Thats a lot easier!" she siad grinning. "What are we going to do next?" She was really enjoying this and was really eager to try something else.
Beck stood aside, watching Izzy put out the flames. He was impressed, and also strangely proud. He looked at the alert girl, surprised she wasn't feeling strained or tired yet. "How about we do something relaxing. This is pretty cool, trust me," he said, sitting down on the ground, quite far from the lake. He had enough water for one day. He leaned back on a rock nearby, then closed his eyes. He started tracing shapes into the air with his finger, swirling flames which turned to smoke once his finger left their place for too long. "Water will be a lot heavier, but you can try." He opened his eyes and looked over to Izzy. He very well knew that Val was watching every move his muscle made.
Val smiled seeing how much fun Izzy was having. The fun they were having almost made her want to join in. Her face turned imto a confused look when Beck suddenly sat down on the ground. Tired already? she thought with a little smirk that was barely noticeable. When Beck started to create flames in the air, she was suprised but also impressed that he was able to do such a feat. She smiled and leaned back against the tree and waited for Izzy to also try. Its your turn now, little birdy.
Izzy stared in awe as Beck made patterns in the air. "I'll try" she said nervously lying back next to him. She concentrated hard trying to make a pattern in the air. Nothing happened. She sighed. "I've not really got the hang of summoning water yet, only controlling bodies of it." She looked over at Beck hoping he wouldn't be too disappointed.
Eve was bored of wandering around, so she figured her and Twilight could fly around a bit, and maybe she could take a swim. It was nice after all. She slowly headed down to the Lake and stirred up a nice breeze around her, making all the nice flower scents waft about.
When Izzy gave it a shot, Beck smiled. Nobody got it on the first try, so he was expecting this. In fact, he would've been a bit alarmed if she had managed it. "Well don't worry, you will. I-" he started to say, then noticed the patches of grass rustling a bit faster. He looked up, only to see one of the air manimentals walking about. Shocker, Beck thought. They always did like their peace. "Hey," he called out, waving over the girl. He thought her name was Eve or something like that. "Over here." Since there was nobody else at the lake, it would only be polite.
When Izzy gave it a try, Val was kinda expecting that she would get it on the first try. But she hadnt, which made her a little sad. Val was going to make sure that she taught izzy how to do it later. Beck was about to tell Izzy something when all of a sudden he stopped. Val was confused but then she caught on. The air had changed, meaning one thing. An air mental was coming. Val looked around, her eyes locking on the new girl that had appeared. Beck had waved her over. She smiled and waved also, daying a quick "hey!" before scooting closer to the edge of the branch.
Izzy turned around to see who Beck was waving at. She then noticed the girl who was slightly older than her who she had seen around the earth cabin. She noticed Val waving and shyly waved also. 'Another good chance to make a new friend' she thought.
"Hm?" She was shocked when she looked over to her side and saw the Fire Cabin Head with two of the Water Manimentals, including the head of the Water Cabin. But then again, she wasn't. She knew he was a nice enough person, so she headed over there. Twilight hopped with her, careful not to bump into her owner.
Beck didn't move from his position, but made sure to greet the newcomer with a grin. "This is turning into a little party here. Maybe we should just go invite the whole camp," he said thoughtfully, reaching up to cup his mouth with his hands. "All campers-ampers-pers-s." he tried his best to imitate an echo, his voice fading as he did the last word. "Party at the lake!-ake!-ake!"
Val rolled her eyes at Beck's actions. She jumped of the branch and thankfully landed on her feet. She jogged over to Beck and the others. She picked up her bottle of sake that she had hidden away somewhere and walked towards Beck. She smiled as she waited for the ait manimental to get closer. She leaned towards Beck and cupped her hand over her mouth as she whispered something to him. " what was her name again? Im sure i heard it during orientation day, but i cant remember. Do you?" She asked him, a little embarrases that she had forgotten.
Izzy started giggling when Beck made the announcement. She liked people who made jokes it made everything less serious. "Hello" she called as the girl got nearer "it's Eve isn't it?" Her eyes lit up as she noticed the raven, she had always had an interest in birds. "What's her name?" she asked gesturing to the bird.
Eve smiled when Beck yelled. Everyone here was pretty nice, so she thought,“Why the heck wouldn't I having out for a bit?” She sat down and answered her,"Twilight, and she just loves that time of day don't you?" Twilight cooed in return. Eve sat down and let Twilight hop into her lap.
Beck couldn't help but smirk a little as Val asked him about the girl's name. Guess miss Head of the Water cabin isn't so perfect after all. He whispered, "Of course I caught it, but there's no need for that now." He gestured to Izzy, who just said Eve's name. "Pretty smart, that bird of yours." He put both arms around his head, allowing himself to completely relax. He looked over at Val, raising an eyebrow as if to say, are you going to take a seat now?
Val blushed slightly, it was so embarrassing that someone like her had forgotten. She shook her head and stood up straight, calming herself before focusing on the current situation. She Kneeled down beside Eve and sat, crossing her legs. Now that she had heard her name, she was going to make sure she didn't forget it.
Izzy looked at the bird, marveling at her obedience. "I agree very smart. I wish I could get my puppy, Dizo, to be that good! I would have brought him down to the lake but he takes a lot of effort and I came to relax. Well, kind of." She glanced at Beck giving him a sideways smile.
"Aw, you have a puppy? Too bad he isn't obedient. Twilight here, will get along with pretty much any animal." Twilight cawed at her and Eve responded with,"That's right! I forgot you didn't get along with cats..." Twilight cooed in approval.
Beck saw Val get all embarrassed, and turned his attention back to the younger girls. They were apparently having fun with all the pet talk. "I have a gerbil. Best. Pet. Ever. He's not messy, noisy, or scratchy. And he fetches me stuff," Beck said, smiling back at Izzy. He ruffled his hair up a bit. Maybe talking about dogs actually made him feel like one.
"Well so is Judali, he is very obedient. Unless it's time for him to eat, he gets angry and makes a mess if I don't get him his food." Val chuckled at that last part. She smiled to herself and looked in the direction of her cabin. Judali was currently curled up in her bed, asleep. She looked back at the others. "We should bring our pets with us next time so that they can familiarize with each other. It'll be fun." She told them.
"I agree! That would be awesome! I'll have to try and get Dizo slightly more obedient before we do that so he doesn't show me up!" She giggled. "I hope he's not making a mess now, I left him tied up outside the cabin so he wouldn't destroy the inside while I was gone."
"Yeah, that would be nice. I hope you can train him in time." Se turned to Beck and said,"You know, I could fly above the Camp and yell at everyone that there's a party." She gave a devilish smirk, knowing that the Camp Directors might not like this. But, it was worth a shot.
Beck gazed at the water while the girls talked. At Val's words, he laughed. "Have you ever considered it's not because he's hungry?" he kept a light tone, so as to avoid fighting. "I'm just messing with you," he added, winking slightly. People always found his forwardness weird, but Val was probably used to it, since she'd been in the camp longer. "Rolo isn't too fun. Always sleeping. But it would be a piece of cake, bringing him here." When Eve suggested flying, his eyes lit up. "Oh, you do that! Pretty please."
"If you get in trouble, don't come asking me to bail you out." Val said, referring to what they had just said. She looked up at the sky, running her fingers through her hair. She layed on her back, putting her hands behind her head. "The directors would probably make you clean the stables if the party actually happened." She said in a serious tone.
"Ewwww, that is not a nice job!" Izzy pulled a face. "But a party would be cool." she added. "Is there any way we could have a party without getting into trouble? We could bring our pets too!" She was getting excited about this now. She should probably calm though down as it might not even hapen yet.
"Hm, possibly. I like to visit all of the Cabins, so the Directors might find it not so odd. But we should only have a few people come out at a time. It's a nice day, so the Directors wouldn't wonder why all the cabins are empty." She thought a bit on a location. "And the most inconspicuous place would be in the Lake itself. I mean, we have Water and Air Manimentals, it shouldn't be that hard." She smiled, she was loving the idea already. Almost everyone seemed enthused with the idea of a party.
Beck was growing eager as people planned the party. He could tell Val didn't like it, which only made him want to do it more. Although he was nauseated at the idea of being in the lake, he decided to encourage them. "I like your thinking, Eve. You guys could bend air into some kind of bubble, and the Water mentals can make sure nothing disturbs it," he said, trying not to look at the lake now. He doubted any fire mentals would even agree to being underwater, so the directors shouldn't get suspicious.
"Hm, whatever." Val said and turned on her side, using her arm to support her head. "So will the party be at night?" She asked. She wasn't at all excited for the party, but she didn't have anything else to do so she might as well give it a chance and try to have fun.
"I'm not sure when the best time would be." Izzy said thoughtfully. "It would have to be a time when the directors wouldn't miss us. So what does everyome think?" She looked around eagerly. She didn't think Val looked too impressed but she was sure she would lighten up nearer to the time. I mean everyone loves a party!
