Brittany (booksandbottles) (gamerkiti) So I came across an online bookstore today that sells used books for pretty cheap. it is thriftbooks, you can do the "thrift deal" and its like 3 books for $10. I just placed my first order today so I will keep you all posted on how the transaction goes for those of you that would be interested in looking into this as a way to get more books for your personal libraries for cheap :)

Maple (maplerie) | 307 comments I've used this site a lot. They are great! It's hard to find decent places that ship to Alaska, but they do and they're awesome about it. Any time I've had an issue (few and far between), they have been very responsive and helpful in correcting the problem. I hope you have a great experience with them!

On a side note, AddAll is a great site to use because they will search multiple venues for you and give you the rates of the sites for your book ... Like the TriVaGo of book shopping.

Brittany (booksandbottles) (gamerkiti) Thanks for the info!! I was very hesitant to use it at first but figured why not lol. That seems to be my motto here lately. I ended up getting 5 books for $18.50. I'm excited!!!

Charity (faeryrebel78) A friend from work told me about this site a year ago and I started ordering. I love it and have never had any issues with my orders.

Francesca | 391 comments I just had a look and it ships to the UK! I wasn't sure if it would, so that's very good news for myself and others from the UK that may want to order some cheaper books.

Brittany (booksandbottles) (gamerkiti) It's official, I'm in love with thriftbooks! I was finally able to get a printed copy of Who P-P-P-Plugged Roger Rabbit?!!!!! in total, I've bought about 20 books for $68 (roughly $3/book after my coupon). you guys definitely need to check them out if you haven't already! plus once you spend $50 you get a $5 coupon! I think over all I've saved about $20 by bundling and creating an account.

SaraFair I have really done well with Thriftbooks.com. I will just say that since they don't seem to have as much inventory as a company like Amazon, if you see something you want-go ahead and order it. Saw something I had been looking for in used version and when I went back it was gone.

Hannah Norman (hannahnorman) | 49 comments This is a great site, but my favorite is abebooks.com.

They connect buyers with small used bookstores from around the world. The shipping is usually pretty cheap and sometimes the books look brand new!

Brittany (booksandbottles) (gamerkiti) Thanks for sharing that site Hannah, I will definitely have to look into it!! Unfortunately in my area there aren't many used book stores and I don't always have the money to go out and spend $15 on one book when I can spend the same and get 4 or 5!! lol

Rebekah | 98 comments I used to love ordering from Hamilton Books bargain bookstore. www.hamiltonbooks.com I used to get their catalog in the mail all the time. It's the Edward R. Hamilton Bookseller Company. I haven't ordered from them in quite a while only because I can never decide on which stuff to buy. Going through their catalog is just too much fun, and I want to order practically everything in it. LOL
