Welcome, Leajk! Both I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings and The Summer Book are 500 GBBW, so I hope you enjoy/enjoyed them.
Great Aubrey! I really enjoyed The Summer Book, even more than I thought I would. And I'm looking forward to I Know Where The Caged Bird Sings after reading The Color Purple and Their Eyes Were Wathcing God recently, I'm hoping that it is in the same vein. And thank you Dustin!
Since I'm really bad at sticking to plans, I've now added and read Wide Saragasso Sea. Review coming soon. Also thinking of reading Ursula K Le Guin although she doesn't fit with any of my themes I've been trying to read.
Ah, Beckomberga is my one 'required reading' book on the list, but I haven't read any Stridsberg yet so I'm hoping I'll find her as good as everyone else!
