So I have to admit that I'm going really slow with reading this book. It almost feels like I'm procrastinating. I was telling Caitlin at work the other day that I've tried to reread the series before and I always get through the first three, so I'm feeling unmotivated, I think because I have read book one fairly recently.
How is everyone else doing so far? I know some of you are cruising along.

im so slow... having homework is really getting in the way of my HP time. i read before bed and always fall asleep after only a chapter or less
I am about halfway through book one. I feel like I'm not getting as much out of it as I could since I have already read it so many times. I am eager to get to books 5-7. I feel like once I get there, I will have more time to "read between the lines" sorta thing.
I didn't have a specific chapter to talk about this in because it pops up in a few and that is Filch's role with the Sorcerer's Stone. Most of the time when we see Snape doing something fishy about the stone or Quirrel, it seems that
Filch is not far behind.
He knows about Fluffy, so it would seem he knows about the stone. He helps Snape a few times, but does he know Snape is trying to stop Quirrel?
It was just an odd relationship that stood out to me this time around, because I don't think we ever see Snape and Filch interacting much again. I can see them appreciating each other's distaste for students, but it is weird to see them working together.
