Get some great food and chat with your siblings or anyone else brave enough to sit with your table.

Jackie followed and chewed her lip. Percy was out with Annabeth so she would he sitting by herself today.
"I love this part of the day, perfect light level, the food, everything." She said with a contented sigh
"It's pretty fun. I'm still learning how to fight with my weapons better." She jangled her braclets when she said weapons.
"Even if it comes naturally to us it still takes a while to get really good." She said, remembering how long it had taken her to get a handle on her sword.
"Be careful if you see Medusa though, she should be in Tartarus for a while longer but you never know." She warned.
"Yeah she used to own a place where she kept the statues of people she turned to stone." She said and shivered, thinking of all those poor people.
"Yeah. I mean some bad stuff happened to her but that doesn't give her the right to turn people to stone just for stopping by!" She said and waved her fork around for emphasis.
"But my brother and his friends stopped her a few years ago and she hasn't turned up since thankfully." She said.
"That's definitely a good thing." She said. "Doesn't medusa hate all children of Poseidon?" She asked
Jackie had finished her food and rested her cheek against her palm which was propped up on the table. "They can't just forgive and forget. They have to hold it against each other. It takes a lot for them to let the past go." She said.
"Yeah, though things would be so much easier if they could just get along." She said her eyes crossing slightly in frustration.
"Probably." She said, looking up at the sky again. Clouds had rolled in but there was no lightning yet at least.
Irene eyed the clouds, wanting to go back to the lake. "Is it weird that I'm a daughter of Zeus yet I prefer being closer to lakes, rivers, etcetera?
"Be careful around water Irene. My dad doesn't take kindly to children of Zeus." Jackie said, a wrinkle in her brow.
"I know, but it's so beautiful, especially right now when it reflects the sunlight and the sky toward sunset." She said, almost in a breathless whisper.
"I wanted to learn but my mom said that even if I had the best teacher if always sink like a stone and drown." She said glumly
"Yeah, that would be my dad's doing. If I tried to go up in a plane your dad would probably zap it with lightning and kill everyone inside." She said.
"I hate that our parents can't get past the fact that we do want some normality in our screwed up lives." She said with a frown on her face.
"Depends on what you mean by normal. This is normal for us. It wouldn't be normal if we were full humans though." She said and shrugged.
"True. I meant I wish we could live more like a normal human can, not worrying about a monster appearing out of nowhere, not worrying about the gods vaporizing you for saying the wrong thing. Just being a normal human being." She finally took a breath at the end of all of that.
