Eve (evilous) | 44 comments Yay they made it out. then got captured. but yay again Nik is back hehe.

I get where she is coming from trying to harden her heart and be stronger and not weak but I'm confused as to where she stands. It's like she wants to be with Mal but he doesn't want to be caught in the mess unsure and such. I think it's a big emotional mess. Not sure where I stand he's been on much better ground in this book and even seems okay with her powers fighting to help her get them back so that's progress.

Oh and can we talk about more details on his tracking. so good he shot the beetle that has to be a legit power right.

I'm excited and ready to read more stopping there was hard. But I also need to go to sleep so works out.

Bogdana (bogdana_m) | 26 comments NIK!!! I am so glad he's back! His entrance was nothing short of epic!! Sorry I started at the end of this section, but I can't help it. I am so happy he is back.

So i stand by my theory that Mal's ability to track is something more; a beetle? There has to be something special about him. I am very curious to see where the story goes next.

I'm very happy that they finally made it out and that we left the Apparat behind because he is giving me the creeps. I am really liking the camaraderie happening in our little escape party.

I really do hope Alina and Mal find a way to not be so uncomfortable around each other. I do agree with you Eve, he does seem to be more accepting of her powers, but I am still not sure if they are meant for a romantic relationship.

I am a bit behind on my reading so hopefully, I can catch up.

Eve (evilous) | 44 comments I think Alina was asking him about why he didn't visit was kind of her way of seeing if it was because he was weakened. Maybe he didn't have the power to do it anymore.

As for Mal, I don't think he's drinking the koolaid. I think it's what he said he realized when he almost lost her for good in the chapel that he was being petty and selfish and he realized that he wanted to be there for her and to protect her for the good of everyone and to set himself aside (his feelings). I think that was his reminder. I also think he feels like crap for slacking on guard duty in the previous one after she told him about the visits from Darkling and such.
