Okay so I am happy with this ending. I wasn't sure how I would feel given how things had been going but I like the twist. So Mal did have to die but he could be saved. I wasn't expecting her to lose her power completely like that. I thought it might take all her power to defeat the fold and to save Mal but I didn't think his death would make her power fade. But I like that it went to all the humans, it was fitting. The normal people were given the power to defeat the fold.
And the Darkling. Suddenly she wasn't good enough. He was seriously bad news. I liked that she was able to get him in the end and even had that small amount of compassion, it shows how good she is.
I also like how Mal and Alina are both missing parts of themselves. I also like how they explain in, he had two lives inside of him, his own finite one and the heart of all of Ravika which is what made him the tracker he was. That part died but his normal self was able to hang on and be saved.
AWE they got their happy life as no-ones. I love it.
And Nik was saved. So so sweet! He is haunted but I think he will be okay. And they stayed friends. They come visit, changed in appearance but they visit. So sweet. I was so sad. I love that the kid stayed with them and the cat too. A little family. They went back to doing what they knew, the life people looked down on at times but made it better. I love it.
Genya not only got pardoned but she was part of the ruling group. I love the idea of all three colors being in charge and working together to lead. I think things will work out well for Ravika.
