message 1: by tori (new)

tori Cinder looked at him curiously after she thanked him again for the use of the room. "I didn't know you had a sister. Where is she?" Cinder asked as she plopped down on the bed. It felt like pure silk. It was a nice change from the grass and tree-branches she normally slept on.

message 2: by tori (new)

tori Cinder nodded along with his story. She wondered what Jesse's sister was like. Cinder didn't want to prowl though, she felt that Jesse was reluctant to answer to many deep questions about his sister. "Thank you, again, Jesse!" She called to his retreating back. She laid back down on the covers and wished she had some sweatpants or PJ's.... "Wait, Jesse!" She called as she hopped up, "I feel bad about asking more..." She trailed off and bit her lip. He was probably going to think she selfish. "Never mind." She said with a smile.

message 3: by tori (new)

tori Cinder smiled gratefully at him and then glanced down at her feet. "Well, I was wondering if maybe you had a sleeping shirt I could borrow?" Cinder asked, her lip ring in her mouth-a nervous gesture. She raised her eyes to his, and kind of marveled. His eyes were easy to get lost in...

message 4: by tori (new)

tori Cinder followed Jesse to his bedroom door and leaned against the door frame. His room seemed cozy, very nice and casual-she liked it. She smiled as she watched him fish around in his drawers. Jesse was a really amazing friend, she thought happily. She nodded as he handed her a Van Halen tee. She vaguely remembered the band, but accepted the shirt graciously. "Thank you, Jesse. For everything." She said as she gave him another brief hug. Smiling at him over her shoulder, she headed back down the hall to the guest room. She shut the door behind her and stripped off her shorts and tank top. She slid his shirt over her head and crawled underneath the covers. She was pleased to find the shirt smelled of Jesse, and detergent.

message 5: by tori (new)

tori ((Yeah, sorry, I had to go muck stalls :())

Cinder opened her eyes to an unfamiliar ceiling. She sat up with a start, and then laughed-she was Jesse's. Not Central Park. She stretched her arms over her head and yawned. Cinder was usually get up and go, but that was before she had slept in a cozy bed. With a faint smile tugging at her lips, she hopped out of bed, and leaving the covers strewn, padded down the hall in Jesse's t-shirt.

message 6: by tori (new)

tori ((Okay :D))

Cinder glanced over at the sound of Jesse's voice and smiled. "Yeah, I could go for some food." She said just as her stomach rumbled. She laughed and looked up at Jesse. "Good-morning by the way." She said, yawning.

message 7: by tori (new)

tori Cinder shrugged and smiled. "Looks gourmet to me." She said with a chuckle. She poured some Frosted Flakes into a bowl and poured in the milk. It had been nearly 4 years since she had had Frosted Flakes...The thought was saddening. She took a heaping spoon full and moaned in delight-it was delicious! "This is amazing!" She exclaimed, scarfing down the rest.

message 8: by tori (new)

tori Cinder looked back at him and hopped up onto the counter, her small legs swinging. "So..." Cinder mimicked Jesse, a small smile on her lips. She wondered what her days would be like now that she had a friend like Jesse. He was an amazing person, and she was glad Rigby bought them together. She smiled down at the large dog, his head resting on his paws.

message 9: by tori (new)

tori Cinder nibbled her lip, lost in thought. The idea of just relaxing all day seemed highly appealing. "Let's just hang out here." She said with a smile. She took a sip of milk and then wiped away the milk mustache. It would be good to just chill in a safe place for once.

message 10: by tori (new)

tori ((Sorry I've been kinda off an on))

Cinder followed Jesse and nearly burned his house down when he suggested movies. She had never seen a real-life movie, there had never been any at her house, and then the overcontorls... "Movie time!" She squealed and began going through his small collection of DVDs. "Do you have any suggestions for my first movie ever!?" She asked, grinning as glanced over at him.

message 11: by tori (new)

tori Cinder pursed jer lips deep in thought as she debated over two movies. One of the movies, Finding Nemo! seemed very interesting... but the idea of watching an umderwater movie terrified her. She decided on Monsters Inc.. She liked that the monsters looked friendly. "What about this one?" Cinder asked, holding up the case.

message 12: by tori (new)

tori Cinder smiled as he placed the DVD into the DVD player. She was giddy with excitement as she plopped down on the couch beside Jesse. She curled her knees up underneath and clapped her hands as the title screen played. She squealed excitedly and hugged Jesse again. "Thank you so, so, so much!" She burst, a huge grin on her face.

message 13: by tori (new)

tori Cinder felt it when he touched her. She felt the magic of his fingers soar through her memories. It wasn't painful or weird, but rather like someone reading a book of her thoughts. She pulled back and smiled up at him. She felt she could Jesse, even with something as fragile as her past.

message 14: by tori (new)

tori Cinder leaned back against the couch ad lost her self into the movie. She laughed, and even teared up a bit throughout the whole thing. By the time it was over, she was itching to get out-she had never been so immobile all her life. Cinder stood and stretched as the credits rolled and glanced over at Jesse. "That was awesome." She said honestly as she patted Rigby's head. "Wanna go somewhere-do something?" She asked, stretching her arm above her head.

message 15: by tori (new)

tori Cinder eyed the board amused, her mouth quirking. She knew she would probably kill herself trying to ride the thing, but she was always up for a challenge. Grinning, she lifted her chin a fraction. "Challenge accepted. Just let me go get dressed." Cinder said as her eyes gleamed. She quickly dashed back to the guest bedroom and threw on her shorts and shoes-she didn't bother changing the shirt, she rather liked it. "Ready!" She sang, coming back down the hall. This would be interesting.

message 16: by tori (new)

tori Cinder shrugged her shoulders. The park was probably more crowded-which meant more potential deaths...."Here is good." She said with a smile. Her fingers sparked, and she clasped them together. She was nervous, but excited. It felt so good to be able to have a friend.

message 17: by tori (new)

tori Cinder plated her left foot firmly on the board and grasped onto Jesse as she placed her right foot carefully. "Like this?" She asked, not letting go of his shirt. She wasn't scared of falling, per se, but the ground seemed kinda hard. She laughed to herself-here was a girl who fought Overcontrols, all her life, but is too scared to ride a longboard.

message 18: by tori (new)

tori Cinder nodded excitedly, her blue eyes bright. Jesse's skin was cool to the touch, but it still managed to send little slivers of electricity up her body. She didn't care at the moment what that meant, only that here she was, learning to maneuver a longboard. "Ready." She said, breathy from her excitement.

message 19: by tori (new)

tori Cinder wobbled a bit as he helped roll her down the sidewalk, but it was pretty easy to gain back-she was pleased to discover. She grinned as they continued. "I get it. Thank you, Jesse." She said, a small still tugging at her lips.

message 20: by tori (last edited Sep 30, 2013 05:53PM) (new)

tori Cinder gave his hand one more small squeeze and then let go. She felt pretty confident about it, and if she fell, Jesse was here. "I'll try in my own she said, as smile playing at her lips. She took a deep breath, and took off rolling. Within 10 seconds, she was down. Cinder smacked the ground with her palms, and her knees, but both were only slightly scraped. "Let's go again!" Cinder said, dusting off bits of concrete. The sidewalk also had a few burnt fingertips where she fell, but Cinder ignored these.

message 21: by tori (new)

tori Cinder had determination soaring through her as she stepped lightly back onto the board. Before she took off again, she gave Jesse a pointed look. "I saw you trying not to laugh at me by the way. Thanks for the support, buddy!" She said with a small chuckle of her own.

message 22: by tori (new)

tori Cinder nodded, her feet firm, and her self balanced. She felt really good about learning-it felt nice to do something just because she wanted to. Cinder smiled and then began to move down the sidewalk. She held herself better this time, but then she came to hill. The board sped up a little to fast and she flipped off, hitting her knees and palms again.

message 23: by tori (new)

tori ((gotta go, happy nightmares :D))

message 24: by tori (new)

tori ((I'm so incredibly sorry!!!!!))

Cinder wiped the bits of gravel from her hands and dusted off her legs. She nodded, though with less enthusiasm. Her knees and palms were bleeding and her shins were scraped now. She gave a Jesse a small smile and took a deep breath. "Let's go again." Cinder said, her enthusiasm sounding forced.

message 25: by tori (new)

tori Cinder smiled and nodded. "Thanks, Jesse." She said, genuinely. "But, I'll try one more round." Cinder rolled her lip ring into her mouth and eyed the longboard. "After, all, third times a charm, right?" Cinder said with a small laugh.

message 26: by tori (new)

tori Cinder wiped her hands on her shorts and brushed her hair away from her face. She could do this. Cinder placed both feet on the board carefully-like her first 2 tries-and then pushed off the ground with her foot. She had it. The wind blew her red locks back as she grinned. Here she was. "Oh my gosh, Jesse!" She shrieked happily as she jumped off the board. She ran at him like a mad woman and wrapped her arms around him. "Thank you!" She grinned as she hugged him. It felt amazing to learn how to control something like that. It was something other from her, and she learned to utilize it. "Thank you, Jesse." She said as she unwound herself from him, her face bright.

message 27: by tori (new)

tori Cinder couldn't help herself as her grin widened. "I'm sure." She said with teasing sarcasm. She was smiling as she studied his bright and open expression. She really began to feel something for Jesse. But, with some effort, she shoved the feelings down. They were friends. Just friends. But at the moment, all Cinder could think about was having his arms wrapped around her again.

message 28: by tori (new)

tori Cinder shrugged feeling slightly awkward. Her fingers sparked, and she folded them together. She didn't want him to know how he made her feel. But she doubted he would've been able to-she was confused on how she felt. "Let's try it again." Cinder said, her voice slightly softer than before. But her smile was still present.

message 29: by tori (new)

tori ((sorry-horse show :D Got 2nd and 3rd Place :D))

Cinder placed both feet on the board and began to roll steadily down the concrete. She had her balance the whole way. Excitement tingled beneath her skin and she grinned. Her hair flew behind her and she felt as she were on top of the world. "Jesse!" Cinder beamed as she jumped off the board again. She didn't run at him again, but grinned as she rolled back over to him.

message 30: by tori (new)

tori Cinder grinned back at Jesse, her fingers giving off little sparks. She chuckled as she looked into his eyes. "I feel so tall." Cinder laughed, excitement coursing through her veins. She felt so elated that she could actually ride a longboard.

message 31: by tori (new)

tori Cinder shrugged her shoulders and brushed a few wisps of hair impatiently from her eyes. Her stomach growled as well and she laughed. "Guess we should grab some lunch." Cinder said with a smile. She stepped off the longboard and frowned a little at her lack of height.

message 32: by tori (new)

tori ((gotta go-be back on later :D))

message 33: by tori (new)

tori ((That's amazing lol :D))

Cinder watched him as he jogged away, lost in thought. She was having some mixed emotions about Jesse. Meaning that she thought she was in love, but how did Jesse feel? Cinder nibbled on her lip, but brightened as Jesse came out the door and down the steps. She gave him a blank look when he asked her about restaurants. She honestly didn't know of any-she mostly obtained her food from the markets, stuff that wouldn't spoil in the park. To be honest, she didn't think she had ever really been to a restaurant... "Sorry, I don't know of any." Cinder said, pursing her lips. She wished she could be more helpful to Jesse...

message 34: by tori (new)

tori Cinder bounded off after him, falling in step with his long-legged stride. It felt so magical around Jesse-like every little thing is charged with an energy. Cinder had never felt this way about someone, and she enjoyed the feelings Jesse brought. She eyed his hand, wishing he would grab hers. But they were friends, Cinder reminded herself. She refused to ruin a friendship over her feelings.

message 35: by tori (new)

tori ((Sounds good :D))

message 36: by tori (new)

tori ((Otay :)))

message 37: by tori (new)

tori Cinder thanked Jesse as he opened the apartment door for her, and then twisted around. "Yeah, Jesse?" Cinder asked with a smile. Jesse seemed a bit more awkward now, and to be honest, Cinder did too. She felt things he was sure friends didn't feel for each other. Cinder felt a blush creep into her cheeks and she wrapped her arms self-consciously around herself.

message 38: by tori (new)

tori Cinder felt the urge to hug him. She wanted his arms around her in that instant and her finger tips flamed, lighting the couch on fire. "Dammit!" Cinder exclaimed, patting fruitlessly on the flames, which only seemed to grow.

message 39: by tori (new)

tori Cinder was red-cheeked as she looked at Jesse. She felt like a total idiot, lighting Jesse's couch on fire. "Oh, Jesse, I'm so sorry." Cinder said, her cheeks hot. Jesse probably wouldn't enjoy her company now

message 40: by tori (new)

tori ((gotta go :D RP later))

message 41: by tori (new)

tori ((back on :D))

Cinder blushed but a grin still spread across her features. "Exactly why." Cinder said with a laugh. "I'm still super sorry, Jesse. My powers kinda have a mind of their own."

message 42: by tori (new)

tori Cinder smiled gratefully at Jesse and plopped down beside him. Without thinking, she curled her legs up and rested her head upon his arm. "Do powers ever get any easier to figure out?" Cinder asked honestly. Since she had known of her powers, they had never really gotten any easier to control.

message 43: by tori (new)

tori Cinder was pleasantly surprised as Jesse wrapped his arm around her waist. She felt fire where he touched, and she wanted to live forever in that moment. "I don't think they do, honestly." Jesse said, and while Cinder didn't know what to think of that answer, at least it was an honest one. Cinder snuggled a fraction closer to Jesse, wishing he would kiss her. She knew they had only met, but she felt so sure of Jesse, and she felt she could trust him wholey.

message 44: by tori (new)

tori Cinder couldn't focus on the TV. Her mind was occupied with the smell and feel of Jesse. She felt safe here, as if Overcontrols didn't exist, as if every bad thing was a figment of one's mind. It felt...peaceful. Cinder let out a yawn and closed her eyes, leaning even more so into Jesse. She buried her face into his side and was asleep in minutes.

message 45: by tori (new)

tori ((do you want to skip to morning :)))

message 46: by tori (new)

tori Cinder opened her eyes to the pale ceiling of the bedroom. The sky outside was gray, and no sunlight poured in through the windows. Cinder yawned as she sat up, stretching her limbs above her head. Last night came back to her in a rush, and she blushed, a smile on her lips. She didn't care if she was behaving as if she wanted to be more than friends-she wanted to be more. She nibbled her lip then. What if Jesse didn't? But, she had reason to believe he liked her back. He had never pushed her away, and he wrapped his arm around her after she had laid her head on him. Cinder smiled as these facts dawned upon her. Rising out of bed, still smiling, she made her way into the hall. She needed to find a shower.

message 47: by tori (new)

tori Cinder jumped at the sound of Jesse's voice, but she smiled when she seen him. He looked positively adorable when he was waking up, Cinder decided. "Yeah," She said with a yawn, "I was wondering if I could also get a towel?" Cinder said with a sleepy smile.

message 48: by tori (new)

tori Cinder smiled as she entered the bathroom. "Thank you, Jesse!" She chirped before she shut the door softly. She stripped out of her clothes, folding them so she could slip them back on. She turned to the sink-showering was impossible with her ability-it weakened her immensely, and it took weeks to get her strength back. Marveling at the warmth of the water, she rinsed off as best she could.

message 49: by tori (new)

tori Cinder dried off quickly, after-all, there wasn't a sufficient amount of water covering her skin. She slid Jesse's shirt on over her head and scowled as she slid on her dirt and grass stained shorts. She needed new clothes, but she was thankful to have the one's she wore. Brushing her damp hair from her face, she padded lightly down the hall into the living room.

message 50: by tori (new)

tori Cinder smiled at Jesse as he stood up off the couch. "Okay!" Cinder called as he made his way down the hall. Cinder made her way into the kitchen, digging around for some noms. She pulled out a box of cereal. She munched and thought of Jesse, of the Overcontrols, and just of everything... "Hey, Jesse." Cinder grinned, standing to go put her bowl in the sink.
