Potterheads Unite! discussion

A round chamber on the 7th floor of Hogwarts. Multiple doors open up into this hall and although there is no telescope to view the skies the doors of the ceiling are cracked open night and day for viewing of the heavens, despite the fact most students hardly venture here intended.

Siobhan slipped out of the girl's dormitory and out of the common room. Intending to make for the Games Chamber she instead entered a large chamber with a open ceiling, a starry sky was above. Inhaling sharply she realized this was the observatory, below the open doors above and on the star-frescoed floor she watched the stars.
A door snicked and she whirled, startled to face a boy just entered.

Zach opened the door to the observatory and saw a girl. "Oh! Sorry, I thought- this place is normally empty at this time of night." He said and walked to stand by her. He gave her a small smile. "Hi."

Siobhan smiled briefly "Hallo. Don't be sorry but what would you happen to be called?" she asked him as she studied him, Tall, maybe two or three years elder than she, messy hair. Hm. She turned her attention back to his face as they stood in the observatory.

Zach smiled. He studied the girl before him. She was very pretty, and maybe only a year or so younger. "I'm Zach. Zach Collins." He held out his hand. "Who might you be?"

((Hey andi I have an awesome rp idea! So spencer Havana and Evelynn could be at the lake and then Havana uses a spell and then Evelynn tries to take the wand away which ends up making spencer wack into a tree and lose his memory!))

Siobhan reached out her hand as well and grasped Zach's shaking it firmly, "Siobhan." she smiled "Siobhan Leicester. Nice to meet you, Zach." she replied shaking her hair out of her face after it had drifted out of its bun

"Nice to meet you too, Ms. Siobhan. Interesting name, and quite pretty." He smiled at her, and put his hands in his pockets.

Siobhan pinkened quite embarrassed and she looked at Zach under her eyelids, he looked handsome she thought abruptly, in the starlit chamber. "Rather bold to tell that to a newly-met girl." she remarked to him trying not to show her flush.

Zach shrugged. "The name fits you." He smiled at her. She was really pretty, and the light of the observatory made her eyes bright.

Siobhan couldn't help but smile back "Thanks. It's Irish, like I am." she answered and to avoid staring turned her head up to the stars, who knows but then it seemed that Zach was more handsome then the stars. Maybe. A little. Perhaps.

Zach raised his eyebrows. "Irish? That's really cool. I'm just boring old British." He smiled. He couldn't help but notice her beautiful eyes.

Siobhan shrugged "It really isn't that unique. I bet that more than a few students are from the Emerald Isle." she said and suddenly realized they had not released each others hands after they shook. She stepped back swiftly vividly aware of the previous time she had been holding hands with a boy, a cross between a grimace and a grin came across her face. What a fiasco.

Zach's cheeks flushed, and he looked around, hoping she wouldn't notice. He stuck his hands in his pockets and smiled. "You ever been here before?"

Siobhan cleared her throat and glanced around a little awkwardly "Er yes in fact. Once when I first came here, a little under a year ago." her eyes widened a little, was that honestly a little under a year ago. Lordy lou. "I had just came here then and-" she laughed a little "I made a wrong turn and ended up here. What about you?" she asked quickly warming to this boy.

Zach nodded. "I love it here. I've been here since I was 11. And I found it the very first night. It's so peaceful here." He glanced at her, and he blushed again. "And I've never had anyone to share the amazingly cool place until now."

((Aww I'm so touched Andi! Don't worry you are great as well. Pales to my brilliance but still good :P
I do write off-RP more than I should though so that probably has something to do with it...))

Siobhan smirked "It is...amazingly cool." she said with a laugh and turned back to him "Then we have something in common though. I was a transfer-" she glanced to Zach's face and had to say something "Yes I mean something in common besides the er, fact that we're." she groaned "Flushed to her hairlines?" the tension relieved a little and she found herself, innocuously, giggling. Giggling.

Zach smiled happily. She had the cutest laugh. "We should check out some of the stars." He said and put a hand lightly on her arm, spinning her around to face a large telescope.

((Ooh! That's cool what is it about? I just finally came up with a plot for mine it's fantasy by the way. Ahem.))

Siobhan's breath caught in her throat and she watched Zach with her eyes as the starlight reflected in their walnut depths, she shyly walked over with him and the couple stood before the telescope still lightly holding each other's elbows.

((I'm *yawn* getting kind of (Now I'm really yawning!) tired and plus my RP is getting sappy lol. More than it already was though :D G'night Andi and thanks for RPing!))

Zach led her to the telescope and gestured for her to try it. "It's got an amazing view."

Siobhan had already placed her right eye over the lens and closed her left, lashes sweeping down. She sucked in her breath and sighed at the beauty, "My goodness." she murmured and withdrew to gaze at Zach a beam growing on her angular face "Wow." she said with feeling.

"Isn't it brilliant?" He asked excitedly. He looked through and smiled. "Amazing." He pulled back and glanced at Siobhan. She was prettier than the view, he thought.

Siobhan smiled at him "It is." she agreed and looked up to the stars, "I remember seeing these in Ireland," she said softly her accent thickening into a lilt, "I was seven and my da was showing me all the stars." she spotted Orion and smiled a little. "He loved Orion up there."

"So you lived in Ireland?" He asked and pulled out two chairs, sitting down in one and gesturing her towards the other. "How is it? I've always wanted to travel. And I heard it's beautiful."

Siobhan sat on the whippy ash chair and folded her hands on her back a smile on her face, it had seemed to be a rudimentary accessory on her face since she met this Zach. "I did." she confirmed "It's beautiful, so green, the Emerald Isle you know of course, and the cliffs are unbelievably pretty." she laughed "But I'll stop boring you Zach."

"No, please," Zach leaned back in his chair. "Continue on. You're not boring at all." He cold listen to her voice all day.

Siobhan smiled embarrassed "I-" she glimpsed the look on his face and was convinced "Okay you made me do it." she said with a true grin. "You say you'd like to travel? Ever been to the Giant's Causeway?" she asked, from head to toe she was impeccable and cool but her face belayed her composure, it was rosy and if there ever was a smile...

"Never." He shook his head, his hair falling over his eyes. "I would love to travel. But I've never been able to." He watched her face. She seemed to be blushing, and her eyes twinkled.

Siobhan gave a low whistle, she leaned back in her chair. "Well I'll say you don't know what you're missing. I live by it with my parents and it's unbelievable." she said with feeling and looked at Zach's face, he was studying her. She blushed and looked down to the floor and back up to the sky, at least she had a excuse for it but a realization came upon her, she had a bleeding crush on this boy? She thought with disbelief.

"Have you ever traveled anywhere else?" Zach sat up in his chair eagerly.

"I lived in Scandinavia for a few years." Siobhan answered her tone quieter and soft, she cleared her throat and spoke in a froggy voice "Sorry." she mananged to say.

Zach's eyes went wide. "That's awesome." He exclaimed. He smiled at her, and she looked so calm and happy, it made him blush. He glanced away, looking around at everything but her. He knew she'd make him blush again.

Siobhan surreptitiously swiped a hand over her eyes and smiled weakly "Sorry I normally am not this..." she searched for a word "Um, emotional? It was, er, awesome but in Dumstrang slightly less. Forget it." she said frustratedly and sighed "I'm sorry. Acting like a genuine idiot here."

Zach shook his head. "You're not an idiot." He said sincerely. "You're quite amazing, actually."
Wait, did that actually come out of his mouth? Somehow his thoughts and his heart broke through and forced it out. He blushed.

Siobhan flushed red "Oh. Oh thank you." she said awkwardly, "You aren't so bad yourself." she said with a grin trying to comfort the boy "Now enough about me what about yourself?" she asked scooting forwards on her chair and looked to Zach on her left, her hands knitted comfortably in her lap.

Zach shrugged. "I'm not as interesting as you." He smiled. "The most crazy thing in my life is that I have 4 older brothers and 4 older sisters."

Siobhan's eyes widened "Oi, so you're the youngest of the family then. Horrid time or just annoying?" she teased a smile in her dark eyes.

"Just annoying." Zach winked. "And I'm the only wizard, besides my mum, so that's kind of a bonus. They don't know you can't use magic outside of school."

Siobhan grinned half wickedly half pleased "Oh. That is inconvenient..." she put in avidly crossing her legs on the seat with a graceful motion, her knees poked out sharply and she placed her palms on them.

Zach laughed. "Anything you want to know about me? I'm an open book." He spread his arms wide and smiled.
