I think my usual genre is science fiction and fantasy, although I'm definitely particular about what I read. Generally it's books my father recommends or authors he's heard about/met at the science fiction conventions he attends. However, I'm pretty open to trying new books, even if they aren't from this genre. In high school we read across all genres in IB English, so I was exposed to a wide variety of authors and genres, which only continued in the classes I took in college. I would say the crime/thriller genre (not to be confused with mysteries) is the genre that I rarely, if ever, delve into. I enjoy crime/thriller movies from time to time, although mostly the older ones, but I can't get into the books.
We don't have it in the library, but I might still have it at home. (it is actually Confessions of a Teen Sleuth by Chelsea Cain)

What is your usual genre?
