The October Challenge will be a read-a-thon with a twist.

Here are the rules as of Now. They may changed and I will let everyone know if they do.
October Challenge

There are two events in this challenge:
Reading Like A Banshee

Halloween Book Hunt

Nope, I didn't write it wrong.

Is only 25. 5 for participating, and maximum of 10 from each event.

ma bad! 25.. 26.. who's counting -_-'

point is we got tons of BAPs for doing both!

So here's the jist about the events. You guys can pick which ever ones you wanna do. If you just wanna do event 2 thats fine. If you just wanna do event 1 thats fine. If you wanna do both events 1 and 2 thats fine also

Ok so I'm gonna play too and I'm gonna do both events.

So for the people who are doing event 2 we have to vote on what themes we want. So lets have everyone doing event 2 pick 5 themes and we can discuss which ones we will keep or not.

So far I have Myself, Erica and Eni interested in event 2

I like the themes:

Theme #4:Trick or Treat
Theme #6:Hallow Places
Theme #7:Halloween Party – a Spell-it-Out challenge
Theme #8:Supernatural Creatures
Theme #10:Special Abilities

I'll be happy to do Reading Like a Banshee =).

I like these themes:

1. Theme #5 Face your fears
2. Theme #9 Halloween cover hunt
3. Theme #2 Masters of horror and fantastic
4. Theme #7 Halloween party
5. Theme #4 Trick or treat

I'm open to any though. The spell it out ones would probably be easiest for the team (and opens it up for more options).

oh boy.. i like alot of them =D rofl

but my fav have to be

Theme #2:Masters of Horror and Fantastic

Theme #5:Face your Fears

Theme #8:Supernatural Creatures

and i agree with Erica, the spell it out ones would be easier for the team and we can fit the books the team is reading there. My advice would be to use the spell it outs for task 4 and task 5

Probably just the straight read a thon it may be easier since I'm in school right now

ok for event two we have

I based these themes on a majority of 2 votes out of 3.

Are these ok with your Erica and Eni?

Also what would you wanna spell out for task 4 and 7
Just to throw some words out:

Task 4~ Pumpkin, Candy Corn, Costume, Lollypops, Snickers, apples, etc
Task 9~ Slime, Eyeball Salad, Finger dogs, etc.
Let me know what you guys come up with and we'll pick.

Also we have to decide on the order of the tasks. The books increase as the tasks go along:
1 book for task 1, 2 books for task 2 and so on. In total we have to read 15 books in two weeks. We can read the books in whatever order we want but they need to be posted in the order we choose. If you guys want I can use a random generator to choose the order. Let me know.

Sorry if this sounds a lot but I want to have everything ready before I make the official challenge thread.

on a strategy base it would be better to have the spell it outs as task 4 and 5, cause we would be able to use the books from our other team members (if they are ok with it) so it would be filled in fast. For the task 1, it should be the category chosen from the fastest reader. Dunno if it's you or Erica.

For Trick or Treat i like the costume idea.. i dunno zombie or maybe succubus or grim reaper or something scary lol and for the Halloween Party i like eyeball Salad =p

Looks great! I think Joanne is faster. I would like to do the masters of horror for sure (I've got a couple dean koontz on my list). I do like doing the two spell it outs for 4 and 5.

Something scary is fun, I like Eni's succubus or zombie or something fun.

And there is something fun and catchy about eyeball salad haha Joanne.

haha so Eye Ball Salad it is!.

I like really like the grim reaper as a costume :D. I like Zombie also.

Ok so do we wanna have tasks four and five at the end right? Also I'm not really into the Master's of horrors thing so I can put that for the second task so that You and Eni can each read a book for that one since you guys voted for that. Is that cool?

That leaves us with "Supernatural Creatures" and "Face your fears".

I can do theme one if you want. I love supernatural creatures so i'd go for that one but it all depends on which category you guys wanna participate in. So let me know if you'd rather read for "Supernatural Creatures" or "Face Your Fears".

Also Eni, I don't think that we can use the members books who are doing event 1 because they didn't sign up for event 2. I think its just our books that will count. I'll ask the mods to make sure and get back to you.

oh ok. it works either way i'm sure =D and i like both of them so xD whatever you chose it's fine. i'll prolly end up reading about the category for the spell it out anyway =x

I vote you can pick which one you want to read for the first one Joanne since you're starting us off. And honestly the book I've picked will work for either category.

Also its ok if we used our member's books who are in event 1 for event 2
