How would you feel about a vote for the current list and a member's choice each month for the Archive list?

Thoughts please!!

Val I have a slight preference for a vote for both Penny, but am happy to go along with whatever you decide.

Susan I would also prefer a vote - but also happy to go along with whatever is chosen.
Just for the record, I did suggest a single vote/book chosen from either the current list or the archive. However, some people may obviously prefer to concentrate on the choices from the current list.

would everyone like to add in the 2014 longlist to the nomination process?
I was thinking of waiting until the prize is awarded but we dont need to and a couple of people are keen - shall we add it in?

I have already read four and a half books from the longlist and will be reading some more before the prize is awarded. I was intending to wait before nominating any of them, but am happy to start including them now, if people are keen.
I agree with you that it makes more sense to include them with the 2013 list than the archive, even though it sounds wrong.

OK
have decided to add in the 14 longlist to the 'current' read for May and June. The winner is announced on 4th July so from that date on our current list will be only 2014 - and 2013 will go into the archive.

So for 2 months we will include both 13 and 14 in our 'current' poll. Hope that's clear to everyone and is acceptable.
