Amaya trotted thru the snow.

Caspian laid on top of a mountain his father always laid at. he looked up at the moon and sighed. thinking of his father always made him upset

Moonstone was thinking about her father. Why did he have to die. It wasn't his fault that he was hungry, Moonstone thought. If only he was still alive. Moonstone howled at the moon with the haevy weight of sadness in her heart

Kyon Howled back.

Moonstone looked deep into the forest hoping another wolf was there. She couldn't see one, so she ran torward the sound of the answering wolf.

Kyon looked toward the first howl wondering witch wolf had howled.

Moonstone kept running until she reached a clearing. There she saw a black wolf. "Were you the one who answered my howl?"

"Were you the one who howled? If so, yes."

"I guess I was the one who howled. My name is Moonstone. Whats yours" Moonstone replied.

"Kyon, nice to meet you."

"It's good to meet you too."

"Your howl sounded sad."

"I was howling to my father, even though he is dead."

"Ah, I see now. At least you knew yours."

Startled from this comment Moonstone asked, "What do you mean by that?"

"You knew your parents."

"Well ya. didn't you?"

"Not well, we were attacked a long time ago and split up." Kyon said telling some of the truth.

"I'm sorry. After my father died my mother and sister abandoned me."

"Hmmm, that's to bad. and you don't need to be. They weren't very good to me."

"I won't even ask."

A subtle howl came from the trees behind them

Frost stagered with a limp and tried draw attention from the other wolves.
He pauzed, he was an independent wolf, not even if he had wounds would he ask for help. He stopped and continued to howl.

Kyon looked to the source. She howled.

Moonstone looked too. "Who do you think that was?"

"I don't know, but we know where they are."

"Ya. Let's go look for him."

"right." She started toward the place.

Moonstone followed Kyon torwad the lone wolf.

Frost heard footsteps coming towards him. He stood up and howled again to singnal his position

"Kyon! I found him!" Moonstone walked up to the stranger. "Hi." Moonstone said shyly.

"hello I am Frost, who might you be?"

"I'm Moonstone. Your injured aren't you?"

"yes" Frost looked around to see if any one else was around

"Where and how?"

"HUMANS!" frost growled. "Recently, they are hunting for pelts in the woods"
He turned away and blushed, he thought moonstone was kind of cute

"Oh." He's cute and he's blushing! Moonstone thought. "Do you need any help?"

"Yes, please help me find other wolves, we neeed to tell them we need to help!"

He swayed his tail and looked down as the got eye contact

"I don't know where any are, not even my friend Kyon."
Moonstone wagged her tail and tried to find where Frost was injured.

Kyon looked Frost up and down.

Amaya trotted into a clearing, then stopped. Something wasn't right.

"Kyon!" Moonstone yelled releived.

Caspian rose from the ground. The sound of howling and yelling made him alert. He scanned the clearing and forest before getting off the mountain. He ran towards the other wolves.

Moonstone smelt another strange wolf coming. "Who are you?"

"I am Caspian, alpha male of this pack." Caspian looked moonstone over. "And you are?"

"Moonstone."

Kyon's ears were pricked.

Frost gave a glare to Caspian
