Stroud red cloth, it is first used in the first chapter of the first book in the very first spell and it appears later in a protection spell used to help Anna. There are many examples in the Pitt Rivers Museum. It is also used in a spell in the second book. Stroud red cloth is mad out of wool and has been made since the 17 century and was widely traded. It was favored by the native Americans and used in many of their ritual objects.
