Hi all: My name is Gene Morton and I am a consultant and author since 1982--probably before many of you were born. It's been a great career as an organization development consultant to system redesigns--primarily in health care, strategic planning--primarily in not-for-profits, and merger implementations in a variety of industries.

My continuing interest is in how effective leaders organize their top leaders (a) into a well coordinated team to reduce their risk of making poor decisions and (b) to turn them into an organization's competitive advantage.

One day soon, I hope to post a video of my interview of Chuck Wilcox, a Shakespearian actor for over 30 years. He talks about the tragic leaders in Shakespeare's works. What is really interesting is the constant theme Shakespeare followed with a lot of his tragic leaders.

My reading preferences are a mix of non-fiction and fiction. I just finished one of Lee Child's novels.

Hi I'm Rebecca and I am just now finding confidence enough in myself to start prepping for a small business. I've been trying to get my hands on anything and everything to help me get my ducks in a row! Books, podcasts, video's etc. Sandi Krakowski has helped me allot so far. I listen and watch her stuff all the time. She recommends books that she has in her library and I have a huge list to get through already, but I'd love other people's feedback on business, Leadership, and the fundamentals of entrepreneurship as well! I'm excited that I found this group!!!
I'm currently reading Attitude 101 By: John C. Maxwell! I should be finished with it this afternoon and will promptly write my very first GoodReads Review!!! :)

Hi Monifa: I checked out your web site and it is beautiful. My brother sang opera in Central City Colorado, in the 60's, until he had a panic attack --which he didn't reveal until like 30 years later--and just stopped. My cousin Annell Palmer had a brief stint at the Met, so I've been told, but gave it up. She sang contralto. My step brother, Jay Morton, was first woodwind for the Canadian ballet and was married to the founder. Music is part of our family. Congrats. I know how much work it takes.

Hello Rebecca: Prepping is smart. There are definitely some basics you will need to know to start and grow a small business. Don't forget to join an entrepreneur's support group in your area so you can hear first hand how others have learned to set up their businesses.

Just joined the group. I have owned my own company for 22+ years and have been blessed to be very successful. I wanted to try and help others succeed with their own business, I have been working on my book for well over a year, lots of case studies and practical info to help people. I will have two free e-books supplement for Women and Vets.

My book One Million in the Bank in 3-7 Years will be out in a couple of months. Love to hear peoples ideas and book recommendations.

Hello all, my name is George and I just found this group last night and I'm excited to be a part of it.

I blog about nonfiction books over at www.bookleverageblog.com and love to read and write about books on peak performance and professional development.

I'm currently reading Invisibles by David Zweig, Dataclysm by Christian Rudder, Zero to One by Peter Thiel and a bunch of books on indie publishing on Amazon.

I've written a few nonfiction ebooks and am learning all I can to market and promote them like a pro.

Mike, I checked out your site last night. First off, thank you for your service to our country. Second, are you making any copies of your book available for review, I would love to read and review it. Let me know either way.

Tell us your story! If you are not ready, then read my short ebook, Telling Startup Stories (amazon and elsewhere) which will get you started. Telling stories about yourself is not narcissism and will have an effect both on you and the listener/reader. Use a simple storyboard (described in the book). You will be more than motivated!

Yes. This book is connected to Ukraine. Short description's why my country is such as is and what need to do for a civilization jump.
