Hope This book is probably my least favorite in the series; mainly because it was the last, and also because the plot wasn't well written. Many of Jacinda's actions were random, and her as a character.....well, let's just say she has some romantic issues. Why would she freaking be jealous of Cassian and Tamra when she has Will????!!!! Also, whenever there was danger, Jacinda never rose up to defend herself when she could BREATH FIRE. When you can breath fire, you don't just let people push you around the way she did! Well, at least there was a satisfactory ending though.

Dhfan4life I marked this one as a 3 star just like the others. But for sure, I was really REALLY not a fan of Jacinda in this one at all either. Not only for the stuff you mentioned Hope. But I, too, felt that she was being so irrational about a lot of stuff all the time. Meaning when Tamra started liking Deghan, Jacinda was pissy about that. She was pissy about Miriam not doing as she said. She kept feeling like she couldn't trust Will and didn't quite understand why he was wanting to just leave.

But I mean, hello! Why wouldn't he feel that way? Given how little she has actually told him about her experiences in the Pride save for a few select things. And although it was great that Tamra came into her draki abilities and self. I'm so with you that Jacinda had no real instincts to survive and use that fire more than she did. I also hated how she kept wanting Tamra to go with her to their mom. Even though Tamra finally had what she wanted for a chance.

I was mad too that Cassian's whole family was just totally broken up that even he had to go away on his own. The father probably left rocking in a corner somewhere. His crazy butt sister ran off to live another day. And the cousin just as distraught. I mean I give props for the positive changes that were made for their Pride as a whole. But dude the whole family wasn't these out of the way bad guys. I mean Cassian should have stuck around and helped re-shape his family or something for the better. But nope he was flying the coop too. I do give him props though for wanting to educate other Prides out there. And no doubt find someone that can truly care about him in return.

And the ending when they do find her mom. It was still so bleh to me. I mean what? They live with her til they both 18 or something and then what? Get their own place? Then start pretending like the hunters and draki don't exist? When hunters can just as easily come back again and find the Pride? And if they have kids would they come back to the Pride for them? Just so many questions than answers.

But for me the best parts was when they took out Xander, Cassian came in to take out Will's family/the other hunters. And the positive changes in the Pride. Heck even when I thought Cassian was dead, that was kind of great. Not cause I hated him but that was pretty dramatic. Beyond that, I wasn't quite feeling this part of the series. And in general Jacinda. Just not a main character to quite root for.

Hope THANK YOU almost all my friends practically worship all the main characters in books ! Jacinda is a rather unstable character, and I totally agree that she wasn't much to root for.

And all those other significant characters like Cassian and Miriam should NOT have just been cut out of the story like that. It's almost as if the author was releasing all of them around the end; Miriam dies, lots of other people die, Cassian goes AWOL after the battles, and Jacinda and Will find her mom and "hurray, what now?".

Anyway, thanks for replying to my post. :3

Dhfan4life Oh I've been there for sure with books. I can totally get where you are coming from where everyone loves a book and you don't quite get it. Admittedly this has been one trilogy that was a bit of a doozy for me. I mean the concept was great and original enough. But the author just took it in directions I didn't really expect a lot of the times.

Oh no kidding at all about so many main characters being nixed. I didn't really like Miriam too well at first. But just to have her stabbed and thrown in the river on the random was so strange to me. So yea, a very bad releasing and unfortunately not much thought to it either I felt.

No prob. :)
