Jax was seeing the motel from afar already and he wondered why had he waken up in the big mansion he was just at awhile ago. All he remembered was that he was walking on a deserted street near Milwaukee when he suddenly opened his eyes at that basement. It seemed like he had blanks but his thoughts faded as he stood in front of the motel that was said to be here.
---
Charisse shouldn't had left Derek just standing there but she needed some time to think about her plan. Looking at her tattoos on the corner of her eye she felt herself relax by the sight of it. She kept on walking so that's why she hadn't noticed the guy standing in front of her path to the motel.
---
Jax was about to turn away when someone bumped into him. He slightly stumbled forward and was about to face the person when he heard a faint, "Sorry." Looking at the person with a frown that instantly faded as he saw a girl about his age, "It's fine," shrugging.
---
She looked up from her arm and that's when she saw the brownest eyes she could remember on a guy. She cracked a smile, "Are you sure?" Quickly looking at the bag that was by his feet.
---
He nodded but he didn't made any more comments as he went pass by. In the past after June had died he had opened up to women but now...it felt like his heart was still not with hims so in silence he retraced his steps back to the mansion.
---
Ass, Charisse thought as the guy ignored her. "You should have known that by now," she said to herself. Rolling her eyes at the back of the guy who was so rude she turned to the motel so that she can ask if there's a room.

Ass, Charisse thought as the guy ignored her. "You should have known that by now," she said to herself. Rolling her eyes at the back of the guy who was so rude she turned to the motel so that she can ask if there's a room.
Charisse felt eyes on her and with a brief glance at the lobby she had walked in a few moments ago, she caught the eyes of a guy who was eying her like a piece of meat. Choosing to taunt him, she winked ad blew a kiss at him as she walked to the reception area where a girl was popping gum loudly. "I'd like to have a room please," she said in a husky voice which was pretty normal who knows her.
She sensed someone beside her and she knew it was the guy she had seen awhile ago. "Charisse," she told him as she let her gaze rest upon the guy. He was not her type and this was not the time to start dating. "Now that that's out of the way, can you please get lost?" She asked in a bittersweet voice as she took the key the teenager slid to her.
What had he meant by her knowing that he's not an asshole? Had she met him before? Question filtered into her mind as she lifted her backpack onto her shoulder. "Hey! Do I know you?" She asked as she walked in front of him. Flirting was not her forte at all since she wasn't at all crazy with dating but something tells her that she can put away her plans of revenge later with him close.
Charisse couldn't believe her ears when he said those words. "I-I-" She stuttered since she can't find the words she needed. Ever since she had came to this town she had the opportunity to meet 3 of their people. One was a psychopath who turned out to e a kind one. The second was really an ass who ignored her and the third one turned out to be surprisingly mysterious.
She tugged at her sleeves. She was suddenly embarrassed about her tats since his eyes were like lasers pointing at her. "Um, okay." She told him in a hesitant voice as she held her backpack tighter in her grasp. He was really something. Something that she can't out a finger on.
((nice touch))
Charisse didn't comment about him manhandling her to his car. Few had done this in her life and those who have were too scared afterwards. Good thing that Brayden was different. She looked at the car with an admiring gaze. "Great car you have," she complimented with a small smile playing on her lips. She toyed with the ends of her sleeves. No one really admired her tattoos since some of them were too gruesome to begin with.

Her small smile turned to a full-blown, wide one. "Well, you didn't give me a chance to tell you that I don't drink coffee at all." She said in a matter-of-fact voice. This was nothing new but over the years, many had been weirded out by the fact that she didn't drink any coffee or any caffeinated drinks for that matter. It made her too wired up to move so she avoided it. She looked out of the window and she sighed as she saw trees yet again. It's all been seeing over the past week when she decided to go here and she was so sick and tired of it.

"I'm fine with that," she said in a distracted voice as she noticed how close they were in his car. They were shoulder to shoulder which brought how big he really was. Trees forgotten as she let her gaze roam at the shirt he was wearing. It was an Aerosmith shirt and she hummed a few bars of 'I don't want to miss a thing' because of it.
((It's okay :]]))
((It's okay :]]))
She turned a serious gaze on Brayden, "I am. Are you one?" She asked in return. The things she would do would just say that she really is a murderer. She was not proud of it but after what that person did to her parents, it was time for revenge.
"Nice to know that," she whispered as she looked out the window yet again. She wished that she has loved ones in her life which she can obviously infer from the way Brayden was acting. After her parents died, no one really had been there for her and she learned that trust was just a word that can be falsely given to anyone.
Charisse opened the door and shut it silently. If she was going to murder someone, she needed to be quiet with how the way she moves. She had trained for this and she won't destroy this opportunity to met her vengeance. "Bray? Do you shoot?" She asked in a slightly curious tone.
Charisse hummed and nodded, "I go to sleep. I've been into 8 states this week and I'm getting the bus-lag," she said as she took out her keys from her jeans pockets. "Good night, Bray," she went to him and she kissed him on the cheek. She must be forming a habit now, always kissing him. She smiled one last time before she went to her room which was across from his room from what she had discovered earlier.

Charisse woke the next room, disoriented and confused. Where was she? Minutes passed as she scanned the room she was in with a sharp eye. She must be in some kind of motel, she thought as she rubbed her eyes with the heel of her hands. She pushed away from the bed and proceeded to the bathroom. Brayden...and with that name in her mind. All of what happened yesterday rushed through her.
Charisse shot up and almost bumped into the low cabinet there. She was not dressed for company and it was probably Brayden at the door which means she had bad breath and bed hair. She looked down and saw her boys shirt which she usually wore when she goes to bed and a tight top with a cartoon character on it. What was with her? This was not a date. With this thought in mind, she went out of the bathroom and opened the door.
Charisse grimaced at the happy look she can clearly see in his eyes. She told herself that she was not the cause of it but somewhere near her chest that she really was what made him like this. "What do you want?"She asked in a grumpy tone. She was not an morning person and having seen him like this only soured her mood.
Charisse sighed and knew that she had said the wrong thing. She closed the door and went to the bathroom to take a shower. Everything was so effing muddled and confusing. As she finished her shower, she thought of how Brayden almost slammed the door to her face. Relatively speaking since her face was nowhere near his door. She dressed simple with some cut-off jeans and a shirt that said 'I have a gun and I'm not afraid to use it'. She was now feeling bad because of Bray. Wow! This morning just got better as she opened her own door to know on Bray's.
She was astounded by his change of attitude. She felt one side of her mouth lift up and she scolded herself for being so damn obvious. She didn't say anything until she went into his room where she turned to blurt out, "Bray..." She can't continue speaking with him looking at her like that so she turned away so that she can deliver what she had to say. "Bray, what you saw back there was me treating you shit so please stay patient with me when I do that to you."
Good thing her back was to him or this would have been a lot harder to tell. She doesn't know how to outright say 'I'm Sorry' and this was the best thing she can come up with. She was pretty embarrassed about it.

Charisse grinned to herself. She wiped that off as she faced Bray with a small smile. No need to be seen as a goofy person smiling wide, she thought. She went to seat beside him and she can already feel the heat coming off of him. Was that natural? She sneaked a peak at him and she almost manage to let go the muffin in her hand with the way he was looking at her. It was like he can see her through her soul which was pretty unnerving since she knew that her soul was a wasteland.
She bit into her muffin to hide her nervousness, "Thanks." She said in a sure tone. Now that they were fine, there was no need to dwell on the past. Brayden might be the first guy to ever be the one to treat her like a real person and he kept on surprising her with how the way he acts around her. It was like her expectations kept on getting off the charts with him and that was a good thing. A very good thing.

She finished her muffin with a satisfied nod. She didn't know where to start. Yes, she was completely clueless to talking to people and now that Bray was talking to her, she found out that her thoughts were distracted by her attraction to him. Which was a bad idea. Charisse cleared her throat and for the first time in her life she wished her voice wasn't so husky. It always made her a paragon of being a sensual person which she wasn't at all.
"I guess we can start by cataloging your strengths and weaknesses. I know mine and I would like to know yours," she replied in a calm tone as she patted the crumbs away. His brown hair was shining in the light and her fingers itch to comb back his unruly waves.

Charisse didn't move as she let herself hear his words. It made something inside her still for a moment and when he said his last words, it made her jaw literally fall. She couldn't think of what to say! What was she supposed to reply to that? That she has a weakness for a guy just the likes of him? She couldn't say that! That would lead to more confrontations she didn't want and need at all. She made her face smooth of emotion as she cleared her voice, "That's...interesting."
Unfortunately some part of her added, "I think I have the same with you." This time she face-palmed her cheek. Okay, that was not the words she should be speaking to him. She should be the smart one here, devoid of any sizzling words that would only lit the attraction between them.

She felt herself stiffen on her seat. She breathed in through her nose so that she can reign in her emotions. She contemplated telling him a lie but that only made her flinch on the inside since Bray was much more than a mere stranger she can easily fool. "I have no name but I tracked him here." She excluded the fact that she didn't see the face of the murderer of her parents. Only that there was a specific mark on his neck that made her aware of something entirely.
She played with the ends of her shirt since she was embarrassed that she didn't know His face. A spell must be blocking her from seeing it but she was no powerful witch to break it. She sighed, "I was there when he killed them."

Charisse smiled gratefully, she didn't mind that his body was closer now than ever because he had somehow directed her thoughts to a happier one. She nodded, "Sure. Can I get my things first though?" She looked at him beneath hooded eyes. Everything about him was so unexpected that she didn't know what to do around him. She wasn't ready to talk about the things that happened to her parents since she was still hazy about the details.
Charisse entered her room and her thoughts kept on leading back to Brayden. How cruel was the world to her when at first her main purpose here was to assassinate her parent's killer only to find out that fate had led her to the one guy who understood her for the first time? She sighed as she walked over to her her bags. Strapping on a holster around her shoulders, she got 2 customized Heinie Lady Hawks out of their cases so that she can put them on. Doing this was much better than facing the turmoil of feelings Brayden kept on causing. It made her in control of what may happen and she was glad for this control. It had kept her together after these months of knowing that she was this close to her goal. She took a jacket from her suitcase so that Brayden wouldn't be too freaked out. She smiled to herself, "Admit it, you like him." SHe murmured to herself.

((Feeling much better now thanks to you ;))
Charisse knew better than to let her attraction to Brayden get in her way so with a determined nod she locked her door so that she can go to where Bray was. She found him sitting in his car, the light making his hair appear blonde and an inward sigh at that picture made her want to shake herself hard. What was happening to her? While having these distracting thoughts her feet led her inside his car where ironically he was looking at her with what should like when he was just ogling his hair and face a second ago. With once-in-blue-moon shy smile, "You ready?"

She felt the cool metal through her thin shirt under the jacket she wore and that made her secure today. "I guess we can scope out the local bar to get some info?" She asked although she was suggesting that go to the nearest bar in town. In that way, she can let her magic to its things. She pushed the sleeves of her jacket to her elbow and she made a contented sound at seeing her tats. They always did that her and maybe because the first tattoo she got was a a heart with the initials of her parents inside them that did it.
Caught with surprise she said the first thing that popped into her mind. "Cute," she slowly said and yes even though she said it slow doesn't mean that she thought of it first. He really was, cute that is. His sharp cheekbones spoke of ancestry that came from exotic looking people, his hair was a nondescript brown but in the sun it looked like multiple colors were in it. His eyes were ever changing from warm brown to serious black and there was his smile that made her want to smile back in return so with a nod she said in a sure voice, "You're cute to me."
Charisse got out of the car swiftly. "If I tell you what I've been thinking. You would be astounded by it. You're more than a cute." She admitted the last sentence fast so that he wouldn't put any thought to it. Patting her guns at her side with a discreet hand she turned to him with a serious countenance. "Should we go in?" Focus on the now, Charisse. No time for effing new feelings you now seem to have. She didn't wait for an answer as she walked past him. She smelled his cologne and it all she could not do but stop so she commanded herself to go in the bar.
She didn't shrug his arm off since she liked the feel of it around her. She nodded meekly as she snuggled up to Bray's side until they were almost plastered up one another. "Don't worry I won't hurt them much if they touch me, okay?" She whispered to him like a lover would, her arms wound around his neck like she was giving him a kiss on the side of his throat. After a few heartbeats she leaned back and smiled coyly, "Let's do this." With that she took his hand and led him inside where the familiar smell of beer and desparation permeated the air.
((tune bar would be fine. I'll post there.))
((I'm really soory, Josie. There's some problem at school and at home...can't really update this rp when I'm free.))
Charisse slowly followed Bray into the motel. She was not sure on whether she would go to her room in a about a few seconds or take the risk of going to Bray's room. It was understood that there's something between them that made the air alive with tension and some powerful emotion that made her think of romantic novels that her mother used to read. She watched Bray's back until he turned around to watch her in return. After a few heated stared between them she asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?" Growing self-conscious under his gaze.

Seeing the bed made her immediately tired but she didn't want Bray to get the wrong idea so she proceeded to sit beside him. She yawned before looking at him with sleepy eyes, "Do you still want to continue our hugging session?" She asked in a small voice which made her alto voice lower and soft than usual.
"Tomorrow?" She asked as she leaned her head on his shoulder. Being like this was getting easier to do with Bray around and she felt a twinge of fear if she would be ever like this again if she left him. He was fun and he understood her with all of her baggage at her back. She can count on one hand that anyone can really see her past the tattoos and the walls she had erected to hide herself in, Bray was one of those few people.
She moved closer until her face was resting at the crook of his neck, "You okay about that?" She asked in a sleepy voice as she lifted a hand to lay it on top of his hand which was now on her lap. She was content being like this and she couldn't think of a better way to waste time. Brayden was not like the others. He was more than just a person whom she just met. It was like they were fated to meet and have something...special.
"Are you sure you want to sleep like this?" She murmured under her breath as she tightened her hold around him. With this embrace her heart turned over and over in her chest. Sighing contentedly she memorized the warm feel of the person returning her hug. She inhaled the scent which was truly his and the weight of his muscled arms around her waist.
"Better," she mumbled as she found him again. Never in her whole life would she see this in her future or she might as well call it her present. Hugging and sleeping wasn't in her plans when she went into this town. She imagined blood and the end of her nightmares would be dead but now...she was dreaming of a happy ending between Bray and her and she hoped it would really happen to them.
Charisse didn't move as his arms tightened around her. She was so content right now that she didn't want to disrupt it by saying something stupid that would only break this moment. "Okay...Bray?" She asked and she cursed herself for doing so. What was she going to tell him? That she liked him enough that she didn't want to hurt him in the end? Hell no she wasn't going to say that. She kissed his jaw to distract him and she felt one of his hands rest at her back therefore not leaving any space between their bodies.
Charisse sighed when their bodies shifted. It was...Heaven on earth. "Nothing," she whispered and that's when she started having doubts on herself. What was she supposed to do now? She couldn't do it to Bray, after knowing what kind of person he is now. With these thoughts in her head, she closed her eyes and slept.
((sorry for the short reply. in the middle of work))
((sorry for the short reply. in the middle of work))
Charisse was startled by the rocking of her bed. Where was she? And why had her bed suddenly shaking? She opened her eyes and saw a Bray's face inches away from hers. "Bray? Are you alright?" Her brows lifting as she pushed herself away from him.
Charisse looked at the war brown eyes of Bray with worry. "Care to share?" She asked as she sat up on the bed. She didn't want to let bray go but now that the night was gone she was forced to push all her emotions away and focus on her objective.
She pursed her lips and then sighed, "Okay. I'm sure if you're ready to share, you'll tell me?" She ended her words with a question since she doesn't know what to say in this circumstances. She leaned side to side on Bray's body and then smiled. "Agendas?"
