Nigel Mouto (quatre) | 4 comments As the title says I need help with my writing. I don't have my own way of writing nor do I know how to develop it. My vocabulary is pretty poor as well and I'd like to better it but the only way I know how to do that is to read a dictionary but the words don't stick. And putting the words on paper.

Khalif well, one of the best ways to lengthen one's vocabulary is to read more challenging books, and then get in the habit of saying challenging words in real life. Also, a book doesn't necessarily need to have a lot of big words, that's just something that people like to add. And don't worry about your way of writing. sometimes, it's best to just let ideas flow out of you.

Nigel Mouto (quatre) | 4 comments I'll try that out, but every book I find there's always something wrong with the book,

Vivian Wolkoff Hey, Nigel!
I had a similar problem when I decided to take writing more seriously. English is not my first language and I had to develop this whole new relationship with English.

What helped me a lot was keeping an eye on the language used while I read. Oh, and read everything you can put your hands on. That always helps too. I think it has to do with being exposed to different writers vocabularies and styles.

There are also some great books on writing technique that might help you.

Wish you the best of luck!
