Daniel's eyes flickered from the watch strapped around his wrist, back up to the round clock resting on the wall. With a groan, he slummed down into his eat and baged his head once onto the table he had been seated at. The boy had never been fond of libraries, it was to quite and it always smelt like dust, and then there was the fact that he wasn't much for reading for his own enjoyment. Yet, for the last hour he had been seated in the very place he dispised, trying to complete the paperwork that was due the very next day. Lifting his head once more, he descided with a sigh to take a break, and happily shoved the papers back into his folder. Rising from his seat he stretched out and yawned, grabbing his folder in the process. Now the real fun could compence.
Ashley eyes scanned the shelf for any good book to read, after a while she just picked up a random book. It happened to be a classic called little woman. Ashley took a seat in a red library chair and started to read.
Tucking his folder underneath of his arm, Daniel paced up and down the asisles, pretending to paused and read the covers of books every now and then. Of course he wasn't really that inturested in the romances he was acting like checking out, nor was he paying any attention to the section he had entered, as his eyes had flickered up a girl he could spot at the end of aisle reading. Perfect. He thought, an easy smile sliding over his lips. The best part of coming to the library was the girls, of course any smart guy knew that this was the place to find all of the best girls. Not the ones who came a dozen for a penny, but the girls that seemed quite and innocent, but were willing to mouth off and argue with him. Before he could stop it, a laugh slipped out and a nearby man flashed him a funny look. Mouthing an apolagy for inturupting the guy, Daniel continued to walk down the asisle, in the process grabbing Mobby Dick off a shelf. Slipping into a seat near the girl, he opened his book, to occupied with his thoughts to even realize it was upside down. "Hey," He greeted, "Watcha reading?"
Hot guy Ashley thought as the cutest guy approached her, but she pretended to be reading the book. "I am reading little woman." Ashley said softly. She couldn't help it,but to stare at him. Let me just pray and pray that that hottie is single she thought.
"I can't say that I've ever read that book. One of my friends back home said it was a good book, but I told them I would wait for the movie-" Daniel trailed off, eyes widening slightly as he realized he was holding his book upside down. Quickly ducking his book under the table, he turned it right side up then set it back on the table, opening it took the first page. His eyes flickered up, catching her starring and he smirked at her playfully. "Am I inturupting you?" He questioned innocently.
"Um..no you aren't." She said. Why did he duck down like that? Ashley wondered a bit confused. Normally no one could stop her from reading, but a hit boy could defiantly stop her any day and any time.
"Mm, well as long as I'm not bothering you," Daniel murmered, his smile fading slightly and a spark fo disapointment gleaming in his eyes. She seemed like a nice girl, but he had been looking forward to someone who was willing to lash out at him. Mentally shrugging, he descrided to stick around anyways, and leaned his elbow onto the table. "My name is Daniel." He introduced himself, then motion towards her, "And you are the lovely....?"
Ashley blushed a bit "I am Ashley not the lovely, just Ashley or ash." She said she had to show that guy her bad-ass side to see how he would react. Why was he disappointed? What did she do? She wondered as she set the book down into the table.
"On the contrary, I believe you are quite lovely. Ashley." Daniel smirked once more as he tried out her name, desciding quickly that it suited her quite nicely. Raising an eyebrow almost as though he was challenging her to argue, he carfully scooped up the book she was reading, placing a finger in where her page was so it wouldn't be lost he turned her around to view the back description. "Hmm, I just don't think it's right for me." He shook his head slightly, then set her book back the way she had it and lifted his own book. "I perfer whales with a killer apetite." He chuckled a bit, "I don't suppose you came here alone? Your boyfriend lurking around here somewhere?" He questioned.
"Well for starters I don't have a boyfriend, and if I did he wouldn't be lurking me around everywhere. So I did come here alone." She said as she took the book back.
Daniel had been leaning forward, looking for an imaginary boyfriend to pop out from the shadows and come bawling over. But once she admited she didn't have one, he straightened up in his seat, mischief brightning his blue and green eyes. "Ah, well in that case, would it be acceptible if I asked to take you out? I promise to be a perfect gentlemen, and pick up the tab." He inclined his head slightly.
"Hm....ok where would we go?" She asked curiously. Thank god you don't have a girlfriend! Ashley couldn't help it, but she was excited. She tried to hide her excitement, and she was glad that she want the only single around here.
((So sorry. I haven't been on for a few days. I've been babysitting a lot and I had four presentations due in just this week, and my group members in two of them made me do all of the work. : ( ))"Hmm. I'm not going to pretend I know what kind of things you like, well asides from books that is. That's a little obvious." Daniel nodded towards her book, then glanced towards the large glass windows. "There is a nice little pizza place across the street though. If you like pizza? I don't know about you, but I haven't eaten yet." As though on cue his stomach growled with hunger, and he gave a sheepish grin.
((I understand ))
Ashley smiled "sure. Why not?" She asked. "Wait a sec." Ashley gets her book, and she puts it away In the shelf she found it in.

"If you want to check the book out, I promise not to vanish on you. I'm in no hurry." Daniel informed her, figuring that he was cutting into her reading time. Slipping out from his chair, he nudged it back in place with his shoe then scooped up his own book. Walking to the aisle in which he had gotten it, he slipped it into an empty hole that he figured must have been where he had taken the book from then returned to Ashley's side. "Ready to go?" He questioned, leaning against the wall and peering out the window towards the little pizza place.
"Um..I don't need to check it out. Where are we going?" Ashley asked as she got out of her chair.
Daniel shrugged, noting that she seemed just a dab bit eager to get going. Perhaps she enjoyed his company, or maybe she just thought he was cute. A chuckle escaped before he could conceal it, amusment stetched across his spexrestion. "We, my lady, are going for pizza and then icecream." he announced cheerfully, leading the way to the front doors and stepping aside to hold the doors open for her.
Daniel lead the way across the road, and opened the door for Ashley to enter the cozy little building. The aroma of pizza and soda swished in the air, and a smile spread over the boy's lips as his stomach grumbled once more. Whistling a cheerful tune, he walked inside and up to the counter to order their food. "Daniel," The man behind the counter said, wiping his hands on his apron, "The usaul I persume?" Daniel nodded, "And for the miss...?" The guy turned his gaze to her.
Ashley didn't bother to look at the menu she just shrugged "I will just have what Dan is having." She said with a smile. She didn't really know why she was just so happy today, but she was is a good mood.
