Fran | 1 comments I love all the books. I was wondering what type of books you might think about writing next. Have you thought about paranormal romance at all?

message 4: by Julia (new)

Julia | 1 comments I LOVED the Nash twist in the second book and cannot wait to read Everything For Us - curious to see any plot twists in this one! Will there be any more books in The Bad Boys series? If not, what else are you working on that we can look forward to? Thank you so much for your writing, I'm a big fan - I really LOVED reading "Until I Break" as well!!!

message 5: by Jalyn (new)

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Although I haven't read book two or three yet, I still love the book. My question for the first book, what made you think of the idea to have Nash and Cash be one and the same?

message 8: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Escamilla | 1 comments Currently I am half way done with Everything For Us and let me start off by saying, I love your style of writing! I enjoy getting everyone's POV. Now to my question, was it something that was planned to write in different POV or did it start out as one and then in hit you?

message 9: by A.M. (last edited Oct 02, 2013 11:49PM) (new)

A.M. (lita2013) | 1 comments Loved your writing, Really found the twist with the Nash & Cash quite interesting, very eye-catching, as well as the covers for all 3 books. I also love how the characters all have very distinct personality traits, although the girls are cousins, and the twin brothers, and I feel like I am rambling. Haha

So, basically, I think your series was just great, awesome, and many other positive adjectives.

Is this the end of the series or will the series continue a bit more? And when it does end, whenever the time comes, will there be any spin-offs or will you just start up a whole new series?

Well, I had a blast reading these books, and look foward to starting your new release Everything For Us, keep up the good work!

message 22: by Bookhog (new)

Bookhog (abookhog) | 1 comments I love your books! The "Bad Boys" series was incredible!! I guess the only question I would have, is do you another sequel coming out in the series?
I see that "The Wild Ones" will be having a sequel coming out soon, other than that are you working on anything new?

Thanks

message 23: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Love your books!!!!
I've noticed that most authors stick to a style with POV, either they almost always write from multiple POV, one POV, or 3rd person POV. What made you want to write multiple POV?

message 24: by Susan (new)

Susan Capon | 1 comments Read Everything For Us in about a day. Recommend it to my friends. Thanks for writing such a great series!

Page Turning Book Junkie (pageturningbookjunkie) | 1 comments I absolutley devoured this series! Where is the sign up for Cash and Nash....because I will camp out for a week to get to these maginificent twins!

My questions would be:

-Ms. Leighton, did you know from the beginning that you were actually going to bring back Nash and make him a character? Or did that come to you later on?

-This might be common knowledge to the fans, but I would like to know if this is the last of the Bad Boys series or will there be more bad boys I need to keep my eyes peeled for?

Thanks for all your books...I can't wait for the Wild Ones series to continue!

message 26: by J (new)

J (jdixon) | 1 comments Hi Michelle,

LOVE your books!!! I’ve read all 3 of the Bad Boys books & just loved Cash & Nash! I also enjoyed your Blood Like Poison series.

My questions are:
**Were you an Indie author, before you were published… Or did you get published right away?

**Where do you get inspiration for your books?

(One of my favorite funny parts of Down To You, was when Cash pretended to be a stripper and had Olivia undress him. That was just a really great scene in the book! Very funny and memorable!)

-Meredith

PS – I also hope Gavin gets his own book. I would be interested in reading that story too!

Laura (jademac18aolcom) | 1 comments First, I wanted to say I am a huge fan of the bad boy series. Second, I wanted to thank you for adding me to the group. My question is if the bad boy series were developed into a movie/television show, who would you want cast as Cash/Nash, Olivia, Marissa, Ginger and Gavin?

message 28: by Passion 4 Books (new)

Passion 4 Books (apassion4books) Big fan of yours! I'm very curious about the writing process you follow. Do you have a group of beta readers and if so do you give them snippets of your book in development or do you give them an entire rough draft? If you have them how did you find beta readers you could trust?

Hi, Joyce!

I'm so glad you loved the series! Thank you so much for reading:) I do plan to write a book about Gavin in the very near future. All the gang will make an appearance in it, which makes me very happy. LOL I was sad to see it end. Luckily, it doesn't have to:)

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, Fran!

Thank you for stopping by! As for the types of books I've thought about writing, I've written numerous paranormal books already, and I would love to one day write at least one historical romance. I grew up reading those and I'd love to test the waters in the old world:) LOL

Hi, Julia!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the books and the twists! I love, love, love throwing a little something unexpected into my books:D I hope the one in EFU gives you a good gasp. LOL

As for more books in the Bad Boys series, I plan to write a Gavin one. And maybe more after that. Who knows? LOL And my next couple of releases are WILD CHILD, which is the story of Rusty and Jenna (from The Wild Ones series if you've read it). That comes out October 22. Then my novel ALL THE PRETTY LIES comes out on Nov 12. The cover and blurb will release Oct 30, so until then my lips are sealed. *wink*

Thank you for reading and for coming by for today's Q&A!

Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you enjoy the Madly books! I adore writing about Madly and Jackson. *swoon* I'm planning for an early 2014 release of Madly 4, but I don't have a solid date yet. I'll know more after I write it later this year. I'll be sure to post a release date once I get it, though, so stay tuned:)

I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed the book and the twist:) As for what made me make them the same guy, it's hard to say. I was just writing the story when it hit me. That happens a lot. It's one of the many, many reasons I love my job. I get as surprised as often as y'all do! LOL

Thank you for reading!

Hi, Michelle!

I love your name:) hehe

As for the dual POVs, that is something that I began when I jumped into contemporary romances. It began with Trick and Cami in The Wild Ones. I wanted to get inside Trick's head, so I decided to alternate chapters and give us all a glimpse into his thoughts. I enjoyed that so much, I've since done all my books that way. There are some series that I wrote in a single POV and I wonder how I'll do when I go back to them. I guess I'll just have to cross that bridge when I get to it. LOL

Thank you for coming by!!

Hi, Adelita!

I'm so happy you enjoyed the Cash and Nash twist! That brings me a big smile:) As for the continuation of the series, I plan to write a Gavin book. After that, who knows? If there is an interesting bad boy introduced in his book, I might go on to write HIS book. I don't have a definite end in sight. I am not only focusing on that series, though. I have another series I'm in the middle of called the Wild Ones. The second installment, WILD CHILD, comes out Oct 22. Also, I have a new book with all new characters coming out on Nov 12 called ALL THE PRETTY LIES. I've got many irons in many fires so to speak, so I'll be putting out all sorts of books in and around the Bad Boys series stories. I hope that, if you try them, you enjoy all of them as well:)

Thank you for reading and for stopping by!

Hi, Lashonda!

First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm happy and honored to have you as a reader:) As for Wiccan book 2, I haven't yet written it. For me, writing is very emotional and I write what speaks to me. I went through a period where I strayed away from paranormal, but here lately, I find that I am thinking more and more about returning to it. So, I can tell you that I hope to be writing the second and final book sometime in the first half of 2014. I am sorry that it's taken so long, but I assure you that you will enjoy it much more if my heart is 100% in it:)

Thank you so, so much for reading! I feel like we've been together from the very beginning, what with you being a Wiccan fan. That warms my heart and I can't tell you how grateful I am!!

message 39: by Amanda (mandy) (new)

Amanda (mandy) | 3 comments Ok so . . .. where to start?!

The first book I read of yours was The Wild Ones which I really enjoyed. I mean his name is Trick and when he whispered "Please pick Trick" in her ear. . . melt. Then came the Bad Boys . . . seriously? Hot damn, those twins kill me. Imagining Cash leaning against a bar and whistling, yum. I will never look at a beer bottle the same. . .
And Until I Break was beautiful. Truly. It's a shame others won't be able to experience it.

Ok . . . so that's that. Now my question :)

Do you outline your ideas first or do you write as you go?

Hi, Pat!

Let me first thank you for reading. I could never adequately express how profoundly grateful I am! It's people like you who changed my life completely and I am FOREVER thankful.

As for Until I Break, for personal reasons, I pulled that book from publication, so the only copies remaining are possibly used print books that might be floating around. It won't be making another Kindle appearance. I'm sorry!

Thank you so much for your interest, though, and for stopping by today:)

Elica, I ADORE this message! Seriously!

I'm so happy that you enjoyed the book! YAY! I can't tell you how much I loved writing it! Getting inside their heads was fascinating! Hi, Eva!

I'm so thrilled that you love Cash and Nash! They've been some of my favorite characters to write about! I don't plan to say goodbye to them just yet, so I'll be writing a Gavin book that includes the Davenport boys. They might even get another book of their own one day. I can't say for sure either way. Inspiration is a funny thing. It strikes in the most unexpected ways:)

As for who or what actually inspired the characters, it's hard to say. There was never one thing I could put my finger on. Like all my characters, they just appeared in my head one day and I fell in love straight away:) That's one of the reasons I love my job. LOL

Charlotte, I'm so glad you could feel the emotional ties to the music! Music is a huge inspiration to me! HUGE! I love making playlists because the songs not only transport me to a certain place or scene in the story, but they bring along all the emotions of those spots, too. It makes me so happy to know that you feel the same way and that you "get it" when you listen to them. Thank you so much for mentioning this!

Hi, Tegan!

I had a character named Tegan in one of my very first books, so it goes without saying that I LOVE your name:) LOL

Gravity will one day have a sequel. I'm so sorry it's been suspended for a while. I'm a very emotional writer and I have to write what I'm really feeling at the moment. I've been on a contemporary kick, but I find my inspiration returning to the paranormal, so I hope you'll have a second and final book to the Eclipse series in 2014. I'll be sure to announce it everywhere I can when I set a release date.

Thank you so much for reading my work. It makes it seem like we've been together forever, and I love the way that feels:)

Hi, Kaytee!

Let me start by saying a huge THANK YOU and giving you an enormous virtual hug. LOL I can't tell you what it means to me to read your words:)

As for Wiccan, I do plan to finish the series with one more book, but I don't have a release date yet. I hope to have more information in 2014. I feel that I'll be returning to finish some paranormal projects next year:)

Writer's block. Hmmmm. Well, when I get to a place that I feel stuck, I usually find that taking the time to mull my plot and my characters, for hours if need be, will eventually show me where they want to/need to go. I think with writer's block, the only thing you can really do is wait it out. I've read about authors who have a plan of attacking it (eg, killing off a character or giving their characters 5 problems, etc, but I don't really have a method like that. I just ruminate on them until they work out their issues. LOL

Good question! Hard to answer. :)

Consider me squeezed cause I got lightheaded when the FaceBook group was created! I love it! It's always fun to have a place where likereading people can hang, discuss, share hot guy pictures and whatever else comes to mind but add into the mix the participation of the author that brought us all together in the first place and it just doesn't get any better! :)
