Rebecca | 14 comments I am currently reading this book and have the hardcover edition with ISBN 9780575085114.

All of the details are correct i.e. publication date, publisher, etc except my copy has a completely different cover it has the green cover with the girl on it rather than the red cover pictured.

Can you have 2 cover pictures or do I need to create another identical edition but with a different cover picture?

Susie (dragonsusie) | 2469 comments I see that you're a librarian, so I'll let you do it yourself! :)

The way this is done is to add an alternative-cover edition or "ACE" for short.

If you want an example of how I do it, I actually created one yesterday: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18.... What I did was I put the ISBN in the "edition" field, so that everyone can see it, and I also added a Librarian's Note, so that librarians will be able to see it in the combine screen.

Then, once you've created your ACE (you'll have to go back in to edit it to add the note), you can then combine it with the other editions.

If you want, post it here once you're done and we can check it for you. :)

Actual, as the Manual specifies,
Please do not use the edition field for information about alternate cover editions.

A Librarian's Note is strongly recommended, and adding a note at the start of that edition's description is also a good idea.

Ah, sorry, had missed that bit (actually learnt from someone else). Will add a note at the start of the description from now on!
