Speedy Sixers (6)
Hi - sorry for the delay. When I got home from work I had to go with my husband to pick up our son's car that we bought him. He graduated college in May and officially started his job today although he was hired last January. Then came home and made dinner, picked up my son from the train station - he had to go to NYC for his first day of training - then come home, feed him, "play" with his car with him and finally got a chance to go on the computer. Can't wait to start. I would love if someone else would be captain.
Name suggestions - Speedy Sixers; Super Four; Fun Four
Agreed, Speedy Sixers sounds good! :)
I'm pretty busy these days so I'm not all that keen on being captain either... Laura & Brittany, how about you? Any volunteers? :)

Hello all!! I like the name too! I think that it what we should go with. I have no problem being captain if no one wants to. :)
Great so we have a name and a captain - YAY! That was painless. Can't wait to start. Sunday I can be on the computer early; Thursdays it will have to wait until I get home from work to see the # choices, alternate chosen and decide on a book.
Have a good weekend all if we don't "talk" until Sunday.
Brittany - you'll post where you're supposed to our name and that you're our captain?
JoAnne
Looking forward to it! I sent you all friend requests, except Laura cause we are already friends from a previous game :)
I'm in Scotland, so a different time zone from you all. Once it starts I should have a better idea of when to have my reviews in, I'll try not to have you waiting on me.
I'm in Finland, so much closer to you than to the others - we'll figure the timing out together, I never remember exactly how much difference there is between my time zone and US Central time. XD
I'm in Connecticut on the east coast of the US.Welcome Michelle! I accepted your friend request. I sent friend requests to the rest of the team members.

Look at us, such an international team! :D (And I'm originally from Germany.)
How about you, Brittany? :)
How about you, Brittany? :)
I'm originally from NY - Queens - but moved to CT when I was 16 a long time ago and have never left except for vacations and visits to friends and family.
Game has officially started, all we need is Brittany to roll the dice & we can pick our books to read. Alternate for this week is author initial, first middle or last name, beginning with B. :)

ooh - thanks - going through my series pile now that I've separated out; otherwise I'll go with the B author
I'm going with a B author - the books I have that are 5 in a series I'm not interested in rereading and the one I would reread the person I lent it to hasn't returned it yet. Plus I don't have time to go to the library in the next few days and pick one of them up so I'll go with something I have in my Nook already.
Great, that finally gives me an opportunity to read that one mystery I've had sitting on my shelf for almost ten years - turns out it's #5 in a series. :)

wow 4 out of 5 of us are going for the alternate choice!just back from taking my son to the airport - 3 hours round trip
going to get back to reading - almost 1/2 way done
Thursdays won't be like this though - LOL
Happy Reading to all!
Finished the first book in the challenge!space 5
Alternate-B for author's name-first, middle or last
Read:
Bridleton by Becky Barker# of pages per Goodreads: 187 pages
Finished: 10/6/13
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review: Wow what a steamy and quick read. Love cowboys, TX settings and a prominent ranching family. This book had it all. Lots of romance and love, heartache, caring, siblings, laughter, tears and a happily ever after. This is book one in the Bridleton series and Barker is a new to me author but I'll be going back for more!
As long as they're all posted before you roll the die on Thursday we're good.I always like seeing what others read and how they liked it. Another reason my TBR pile never goes down!

House of Blues by Julie Smith (Skip Langdon #5)

Review:
A good, engaging mystery set in mid-1990s New Orleans, House of Blues has Homicide Detective Skip Langdon investigating the murder of a prominent restaurant owner and the disappearance of three of his family members from the scene of the crime. A quick and entertaining read.

JoAnne, Click on Add book/author at the top of the comment box, do a search for your book and at the bottom it will have the option to post a picture of a link.. I hope that helps.
I'm starting my book now, review will be up tonight or tomorrow. I'll sort out all my series/standalone books when I'm done so I'll have a list of possible reads.

My Review: I have been looking forward to this book since I started this series but I can honestly say it was a tough one to get through, not because it was badly written or anything, but because of the subject material. Bad things do happen to good people and there are some violent scenes in this book. An emotional journey for sure!
