The last book I bought was...
I bought three books for my kindle, one of them free, the other two at reduced prices:
Draykon, Age of Voodoo and The Cloak Society.
Draykon, Age of Voodoo and The Cloak Society.
This wasn't available at my city or county library so I had to buy it online. Awesome book. End Time: Notes on the Apocalypse
The Knife of Never Letting Go for Mr Ness to sign. I've read the series (and loved it) but borrowed it from the library before.
I'm excited that you're meeting Mr. Ness! He seems like a top chap... I still massively massively MASSIVELY recommend reading A Monster Calls - IT IS AMAZING. I also recommend getting the illustrated edition, it adds so much to the story. In fact this gives me an idea for a blog post... :D
@Rinn- you're meeting Patrick Ness?! FLAIL! I love the Chaos Walking trilogy! The last book I bought was The Maze Runner. Have to read it before the movie comes out!
I've read A Monster Calls =) And yep I'm meeting him on Saturday, along with Meg Rosoff.
The Maze Runner is great =D

The last book I bought was To Ride Pegasus which was a couple of days ago - I am adding it to the pile of books to be read which is growing alarmingly large! (I'm waiting until I hear these bookshelves groaning!)
I bought Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight last. I'll be reading them pretty soon. Very excited!

A few people from my friend list read the first one and most of them rated the book with 5 stars, including a few 4 stars.

Nice, Jack Glass was highly recommended and is part of my tbr-abyss.

'The Shining' by Stephen King. Think I borrowed, and read, it many years ago, but got the urge to buy it on Kindle the other day on hearing that he's writing a sequel. I made a start on it today.
Hmmm... I don't buy that many books these days; borrow from my library instead!Last Kindle books I got were free: Sailing Alone Around the World, Designer Dirty Laundry (cozy mystery), and the Kindle library books Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and The Fire Engine that Disappeared.
Last paperback I acquired was Vile Bodies from Paperback Book Swap about 6 weeks ago.
From the library, I have checked out currently:
Rosalind Franklin The Dark Lady of DNA
Human Chain
The Dead of Jericho
The House on the Strand
and the audiobooks of Thank You Jeeves and Dance Hall of the Dead
I go to the library for most of my books. The last one I actually bought was either Star Wars: Apocalypse or The She-Hulk Diaries.
haha I bought another book as well today (self restraint = zero). I bought Stormdancer because I'll probably be meeting the author at an event later this year :D

You're not alone! When it comes to books, my self restraint is almost non existent.
To proof the fact, I bought
The Long Earth and The Long War. But at least both were on sale for the Kindle.

I very rarely buy anymore, I just share with friends until I work through my massive to read list! Last three gifted to me were Reconstructing AmeliaReconstructing Amelia, The Sleeper and Wool Omnibus (Silo, #1). Obviously I started wool first as its sci-fi and so far pretty good but the other two also came highly recommended so I can't wait to start them!
As it is on promo sale for the Kindle, I bought Three Parts Dead today, as well as Antigoddess, which I'm reading next week with some folks from my german group.
I just bought Lord of the Fading Lands. I'm kind of a sucker for Romantic Fantasy, and I heard this one is good without devolving into those awful Twilight shenanigans.

Definitely on my "to-read" list, I've seen the swedish version of the film, it's so haunting! Deffo worth a watch.

Let the Right One In made me feel sick. I think if I was less squeamish I would have enjoyed it more - it's definitely well written, but just... urgghhh.
I last bought Grave Mercy by R.L. LaFevers from the charity shop =)

So I'm about a 1/4 of the way through and it is definitely more graphic than I like, but the storytelling is remarkable. Its definitely well paced but it does make me squirm too!

I think the bit that made me feel the worst was about 3/4 of the way through, so watch out!
I bought The Heroes by Joe Abercrombie, as it was 99p for Kindle =)

I last bought Bauchelain and Korbal Broach: Three Short Novels of the Malazan Empire, Volume One from Poundland for.... a pound surprise, suprise :)
Poundland does indeed sell books - though mostly terrible ones! I have been taught the error of my ways though and will now be keeping an eye out in hope of more treasures! :D
I can image they are terrible ones like Jeffery Archer...Just picked up from the library Queen of Nowhere by Jaine Fenn
Oh Paul I want to read that one! I'm going to see/meet her next week (and so will Freya!) and I love her work that I have read.
hehe yes, usually Jeffrey Archer and Mills and Boon (that sounds ghastly mentioned in the same sentence *shudder*)
@Rinn - so excited! Only a week-ish to go!!! :O (Just so you know I will be getting more and more excited as the event draws nearer)

Oh! I got some books before the Poundland treasure I found:
Labyrinth: A Novel Based on the Jim Henson Film
The Ship Who Sang
Fire and Hemlock
The Story of Archaeology : The 100 Great Discoveries

Yesterday I bought The Gone-Away World -- Got the audiobook and the Kindle book with the "Whispersync" option -- Great deal.I've still got The Wooden Sea waiting on my shelf though, so that may have to be first.
Unfortunately the last books I bought were for school and not sci fi, I bought Crime and Punishment, Madame Bovary, Mrs. Dalloway, Pride and Prejudice, and The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Other than that though, I don't buy too many books. Also, what's Poundland? Is that like the Dollar Store? (I'm American and Poundland sounds...well umm... not somewhere you'd buy books anyway :] )
I have no idea what a Dollar Store is, but as they both mention currency I am going to go with yes - English version of? Well no, you wouldn't expect to find books there, or at least you wouldn't expect to find decent books there! Some of the shops have the odd children's book, trashy romance, or boring autobiography in, so I was surprised when I saw the book I did in there! :)
