I read this awhile ago and my initial thoughts were that it was well-written and gritty, very surprised it was considered a YA book.
Reading it now. It's really tragic, but gritty and realistic. The characters are great, as well. (SPOILER) I'm about 200 pages in, and I really like the back and forth between the diary and Andi's life. It's a cool concept to get a window to the past, and to see how their lives intertwine.
Anyway, GREAT book so far :)
I just finished it an hour or so ago, and it was wonderful! The characters were great, I especially had a soft spot for the librarian (Yves?), hehe. He made me laugh, what can I say.The time travel twist took me by surprise, but I will remind confident that it actually happened and was not just a crazy dream. After all, what is the fun then? :D
i really enjoyed this book, big fan of the time travel plot, it had a lot of twists and turns that could be confusing but it was still very intriguing and made me want to keep reading!
Finished it! The whole time travel was awesome, and the ending was FANTASTIC! Five stars for sure :)
Realizing I'm coming to this group read late, but as this remains an absolute favorite book, I just have to say I'll never forget the truly laugh-out-loud closed elevator scene at the Eiffel Tower. I think I was in a library when I read it and I literally disturbed an entire section of very quiet people. Oops.
