Because Ashley's mother made her promise to never call any foster parents "Mom" or "dad," and to never love anyone else.
What page is the evidence on?

Why would Ashley listen to Mandy if she already realized the little tin bag was not hers?

Hi Ella, i think the book is called "Three Little Words" because this book show how to over things with love. I believe the three little words is I love u because Ashley love for her mother is unbreakable no matter how much heartache Ashley went though out her life. That's why I think the book is called "Three Little Words"

It's called three little words because at one point Gay and Ashley had a talk and she said in time she will say three little words

One, she is not used to having a family, and doesn't like being new. Two, what do you mean by anti social?

Gay will play a women figure and a role model and someone to look up to and look out for her.

Because she seems to be one of the only people at school that finds school as a savior from home. Also Ashley is shy of going to a new school and meeting new people.

Hi Dominique
I think that gay doesn't really have an impact on Ashley's life yet. Do you see the way that they are fighting?

I think Ashley feel lost and hurt without her brother Luke. I think this because Ashley always use to take care of Luke throughout the book and every time they were apart from each other Ashley would always ask about him and find different ways to connect to him.

She refuses to like Gay because she made a promise to never love anyone but her mother, and she doesn't want to get too attached to Gay because she'll be braking her mother's promise.

Ashley must feel terrible from being separated from Luke because she's been with him nearly her whole life and has thought of him not only as a brother, but as a best friend. He's the only one that's been there throughout this crazy experience in her life and now he's gone.

Why would Ashley listen to Mandy if she already realized the little tin bag was not hers?"
What page number is this on?

I bet she feels uncomfortable because she knows and will remember her moment with her mother unlike Luke who is young and probably won't remember his parents.

I think Gay plays more of a motherly role to Ashley in their relationship because of how they don't really get along but deep down they both love each other. In the text it supports my thoughts when it says, " A few days later Gay arrived to take me clothes shopping. She wanted to buy me a fancy dress because we were going to see Phantom of the Opera." on page 180. I think this shows that she is a motherly figure to Ashley because she's helping Ashley live out her childhood of which her real mother could never give her. Also she spends personal money on Ashley.

Because Ashley's mother made her promise to never call any foster parents "Mom" or "dad," and to never love anyone else.

What evidence your challenging my question

Ashley must feel terrible from being separated from Luke because she's been with him nearly her whole life..."
To add on what Sejal said she did refuse to ever call anyone else "mama" but now her mom has no custody or chance of gaining custody of her so why does Ashley feel as if the has to keep this promise.

He only calls the Hudson's that. And Ashley has mixed feelings because she says in the book that she was happy to have a family, but at the same time, the Hudson's looked like more like what she wanted in a family

I think Ashley is slowly accepting Gay as a role model. They are starting to become closer throughout the book including when Ashley broke Gay necklace. Gay didn't get mad at Ashley but Gay forgave Ashley and moved on. I hope Ashley will accept Gay before she moves onto another foster home

On page 194, Gay tells Ashley that one day she will say those three little words (I love You) and will know that those words are "coming from her heart."

Because Ashley's mother made her promise to never call any foster parents "Mom" or "dad," and to never love anyone els..."
Well it said "even though my mother made me promise to never love anyone." I just can't find what page it is on.

Because she is used to getting her way, and gay is so intimidating, that she isn't like the other "parents"

Ashley must feel terrible from being separated from Luke because she's been with him near..."
Evidence of this is in the beginning of the book which I can't find so does anyone know which page Ashley made the promise to her mom.

I believe this is because at bedtime when Gay put Ashley into bed, it mentioned with "those three little words"

This part of the text in the novel involves my questions, because this really makes me wonder why Ashley would listen to someone to do something she shouldn't.

Nice job, I especially like how you challenged each other to support your responses with evidence.
