Jerry Craft (jerrycraft) | 10 comments I just had my book leveled and put in line with the Common Core, a totally new experience for me. So now the next printing of my book will contain the info below. Now what? Besides the ISBN, who is this info for? Librarians, teachers, bookstores, board of ed?:

Liza | 15 comments It helps, probably get new readers of your book (?). There are probably parents out there who are trying to follow that information. Some parents go to the Lexile site and look for books; yours may land on that list.

I like to locate books on my daughters grade level to see if she can handle the difficulty of the suggested reading level.

They have the "Reading Counts" in south FL where students get "points" for reading certain books. They earn reading certificates, recognition. Anything to help them feel like they are not wasting their time reading all the time.

Hi Jerry,

I'm learning about Common Core, but haven't heard of "leveling." If you have a minute, could you say what that is and if you were told you needed to do this? Who did the evaluation?
