History: unlike most ponies he had his mark at birth; it was the same with every member of his family. His family’s cutie marks are only slightly different, like his has sparks on the shield. When he was a young colt his family all went on a mission, no one knows how, but they all died. Princess Celestia made sure he was looked after. He was offered the position of captain of the guard but he turned it down and said Shining Armor deserved the position.

I was contemplating Ocean Swirl for a while, but idk if that goes with it, maybe a name that shows off her shyness? Lotus shy? Shy Blossom?
