Leland (indigitis) Alves C.a which was published in English translation as The Yellow Sofa is a wonderful novella by Jose Maria de Eça de Queiroz.

Rodrigo (rlmflores) Blindness is an amazing book, although it has some heavy scenes. Cousin Basilio by Eça de Queiroz and Os Lusiadas by Luis de Camões are good reads too.

Rita (ritsuu) | 1 comments "The Book of Disquietude" by Fernando Pessoa. It has several editions in English. I also strongly recommend anything by Júlio Dinis or Miguel Torga since they portray provincial life in the 19th century really well. :)
