I will be interested to read people's comments.It wasn't a favourite "Sherlock Holmes" of mine
but I am willing to concede I may have missed
something.
I guess that there isn't much interest in this... and now that I have finished the book, I can see why! Definitely the least interesting of all the Sherlock Holmes I have read so far. I like Holmes best in the short stories, I find.
I had to wait until the library got it (via interlibrary loan) for me. I was disappointed to read you weren't that keen, since I had already ordered it! Anyhow, I just finished reading it and I quite enjoyed it. It is different from his other books though, I almost felt like he was trying out another style/genre. It could also be that I just finished another book that definitely was not my cup of tea -ha,ha!
I am currently reading His Last Bow which is more short stories. I am finding these stories to be darker than the ones in the earlier collections, The Adventures... and The Memoirs....
