Scorch walked onto the boat and sat down. The biT was incredibly large, like a cruise. He patted the bench, letting Jay sit next to him.
Jay climbed into the boat silently. He winced a little as the scar on his shoulder burned slightly. He put his hand on Salam's head, and Salam retracted into his passive form, a tiger stripe like tattoo on from his shoulder, running down his arm and torso.
"What do you mean by know? I just concentrated and he went passive." Jay says, confused. He let Salam out of his passive form. "My brother had a spirit animal, but he never put his spirit animal into her passive form."
Scorch nodded. "He must've been really connected to his spirit animal then." He glanced at the deer on his arm.
Jay nods, looking away, swallowing the sadness and anger that was buried in his throat. He sat next to Salam, putting his head into Salam's fur, hugging the large tiger softly.
Jay ignored the servant, he was fine. He wasn't used to getting enough food an water daily, so he would be fine. "I'm fine, thank you though." He says to the servant.
The servant gave Scorch a drink. Scorch took it and sipped it. Perfect flavor. He looked down at Jay. "So tell me a bit about yourself, Jay."
"I have an older sister, Lily, and a younger brother." Jay starts, "I tend not to like groups, and work well in either small groups or by myself. I help to take care of my family. We for have much money, but we so our best." He says, not saying anything about his deceased older brother. He hoped that Scorch wouldn't say anything about Dylan.
Scorch smiled. "When I was your age, I was very poor, and a servant. I was very surprised when I summoned a deer." He showed Jay the passive form of his spirit animal.
Jay nods and smiles slightly. He rests his head in his hands, his elbows resting on the railing of the boat, his gaze looking off into the ocean.

Scorch drove off into the distance. The Greencloak castle was behind them now. Scorch's cloak was flying everywhere as the wind smashed into his face. Steel sighed. "I loved the smell of the ocean. Which city we heading to first, Scorch?" Scorch paused, thinking of which city seemed to be the one. It took a while, since he was still thinking of the past.
Vander came out of his Passive form. He flicked his tongue and looked up at Steel. "What?" Vander gave him pleading eyes. Steel rolled his eyes and picked up Vander. It took him a while since Vander was really heavy. He put Vander on his lap, and Vander flicked his tongue happily.
"Have much experience in Trunswick? Because I know I don't," Leviathan appears, having time to digest his food and flicking his tongue at the salt water filled air.
"Trunswick is very shy. Most of the people are shy, atleast. They have gone under a huge drought, and they have gotten through many challenges. It is more rare to have the chance to summon a spirit animal. About 20 to 30% Chance of succeeding. I have this feeling that there are a few that are here... I just have the feeling," Scorch said, keeping his eyes on the ocean. "Dolphins,"he pointed. Dolphins jumped out of the water, showing there beautiful grey skin as it shimmered in the sun.
"I just noticed also, I'm a Keeper and there was a hole when you tried to return with a Keeper. Won'tthat make it likely to happen again?" He grinds hi teeth and place his hands behind his head.
"If it happens, I hope you know how to swim. But if you aren't a very good swimmer, then Kilani and I can help you." Al says, saying more than usual for her.
Scorch kept his eyes out into the blue. "Not exactly. If you went out to ambush someone, and you killed everybody, would you come back to kill them again? The ambusher doesn't know I survived."
"Maybe not you, but we have Steel with us," he shrugged. "Kill him twice to make sure he's dead, always tell Leviathan when he's eating mice,"
Steel rolled his eyes. He petted Vander on his back, one of the favorite spots Vander likes to be rubbed. "Besides, we're going on a different route. There is a 20% chance we'll actually get ambushed," Scorch growled. He turned sharply when he was about to hit a dolphin. He almost hit it, but didn't. Scorch looked from side to side to make sure he was clear of the pod of dolphins. He pointed to his right. "See that island right there? That's where Concorba lives. They live on the island, somewhere southeast..."
"Dolphin at Twelve O'clock. If they were working for the Devourer or something like him, the might have been trying to steer us away to get to some of the Keepers for themselves. Just trying to make sense of all this chaos," he rubbed Leviathan's long, smooth stomach to calm him down.
"The Devourer wouldn't choose a dolphin to work for him. He'd choose more like a bear, or a lion. Maybe even a Komodo dragon." Steel hugged Vander. Scorch chuckled.
Archer rolled his eyes, "I don't mean the Dolphins, I mean whatever cause the hole in the boat. And logic points to Great Beasts like Gerathon the Serpent or Kovo the Ape," he look straight at Leviathan and shook the idea off.
Scorch didn't want to talk about this. He concentrated out not the ocean, watch another dolphin jump by.
Al listened, but didn't say anything. It was against her nature to talk now. She used to talk a lot, but now, well, she can be much like a selective mute at times.
Leviathan slithered off again, this time toward Steel and Vander. "Leviathan, why are you slithering off again?" Archer gave a loud sigh and shook it off, though it didn't seem like Leviathan to wander off without him.
Scorch took a very sharp turn. "Woah!"yelped Steel. "What was that for?" Scorch rolled his eyes. "I saw a group of people. Looked like Conquerers. I want to avoid them as much as possible." Steel sighed and petted Vander to calm him down.
Al's eyes snapped up. "Conquerors." She muttered, she had been the servant of conquerors and only Steel and Scorch knew that.
"Could you warn us first?!" Archer said, flat on his face. He sat back down and rubbed his nose, "Common Sense, you had us off guard, not ready for an abush of any kind, defenseless." He rubbed his temples to try and relax. He may be young but that doesn't mean he has to act like one.
"You will get your weapons in time. Just be patient,"Scorch growled. "And it's just a small group. I Steel still has his axe and I have my bow. We're not harmless."
"Whatever you say," he muttered and laid a bit back on the bench. Leviathan slithered up Steel’s leg and wrapped around his neck one and hissed.
Steel rolled his eyes. "This doesn't hurt, you know Leviathon? I've had much worse...." He glanced down at Vander. Scorch laughed. "You thinking about that time when Vander-" "Don't talk about it!"screeched Steel.
Archer raised an eyebrow in interest, "Now I'm interested," Archer grins a devilish smile with his piercing green eyes. Leviathan bites Steel's finger at the previous comment and slithers back to wrap around Archer's arm.
Steel looks at his finger. "Yep, I didn't really feel a thing since that time..." He shivered. Scorch rolled his eyes.
"I hope being around you guys doen't bore me to death," Archer took a deep breath and sighed. "And how is Leviathan a perfect fit for this small snake, I have no idea. To me, it doesn't fit him at all," Leviathan turned his head toward Archer and nipped his cheek furiously. "Is that supposed to hurt, they don't even hurt as much as pinches," he scratched at the spot Leviathan bit returns him to his passive state.
"You don't have a connection with your spirit animal. You get annoyed with him, and wish you had a different spirit animal. Life isn't always about adventure, and something interesting. Life is about surviving through what you need to go through. You should be HAPPY and GRATEFUL you were actually chosen to have Leviathon. He's rare, and better then some others... So deal with it!"snapped Scorch.
