A bit of this and that discussion

Group read for Oct/Nov 2013

I'm disappointed i havn't got round to reading this yet...on my New Year list now ...just not enough hours in the day!

I wanted to read it too, but didn't get to it for the same reasons.

I started last night... not good for late night reading! :)

I have had a difficult start with this...i feared our relationship was doomed to fail at the starting blocks.....but 100 pages in and i get it!
It's VERY Gillian Flynn...but nastier

I might start this soon. I got it on my Nook and it looks good!

Hi Victoria....i'd love to know what someone else think as i found the start so hard going....now about half way through and hooked!

Finished ....brilliant! Harper is soooo creepy and scary!
Once i got my head around the story i was hooked and couldn't put this down.
If i had one criticism it would be the love interest part of the story as it felt unnecessary but other than that i thought it was so original.
The time travel is never explained but i think this adds to the mystery.
A compelling read..made me sleep with the lights on though, late night reading alone not recommended!

I couldn't put it down either, Kate. Harper was totally a creepy creep. It was interesting to see the story from the victims' side rather than just Harper's. All the historical details were great.
