Reading anything you're particularly excited about this month?

I just started The Golem and the Jinni this week, and so far, it's really good. It's about a female Golem (an animated anthropomorphic figure from Jewish folklore, usually created to protect a community in danger--they can easily get out of hand) and a Syrian Jinni. The Golem and the Jinni find themselves trying to pass for normal human beings in turn-of-the-century New York, and forge a friendship because they each can see the other for what they truly are, even though they are by nature and personality, completely opposite.

I am reading another book in the excellent Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley. I am eagerly anticipating the final book in the Divergent trilogy..but it's not coming out for another couple of weeks!!!

The best book I read this month (so far...) is Night Film by Marisha Pessl. Really innovative format and creepy without being gross. Perfect October read!

I am trying to read House of Silk, however, I'm not in the mood for Sherlock Holmes and want to read Kapla Imperial.

Life is too short to read things you don’t want to!

I am audiobooking Borne. Every time a character named Wic is mentioned, I Think of Rick from Rick and Morty.

Just finished the Lathe of Heaven. I am torn on if I actually liked it or was just interesting.

I had never heard of that book. Did you audiobook it?

I used audible. But the library has it, by Jeff Vandermeer
