Chalice had fallen asleep, which wasn't unlike her. She frequently ditched class and waded through town and into the woods for some shut eye. She was surprised no one had found her hiding spot because she made no effort to hide while she slept and she frequently was spotted going into the woods during the school day. Why none of the teachers or truancy officers didn't bother to come get her was a question Chalice would never be able to answer. She breathed softly in her sleep, with no other movement than that of her breathing.
Rijo walked into the silent, dry forest. his footsteps where quiet, along with his breathing and heartbeat, but a little distance away he could hear someones breathing, a girl, the girl they call Chalice. He slowly made his way towards her, staying hidden in the shadows, trying not to make a noise so he wouldn't disturb her.
"For trying to stay quiet you obviously don't know the meaning." Chalice spoke up suddenly. She's always been a light sleeper so the idea of her waking up as Rijo walking by wasn't unheard of.
Rijo stops, stuffing his hands in his pockets, speaking calmly, "what are you doing out here? not many people would find it safe to sleep in the woods alone.." As Rijo spoke, he glanced around for signs of anyone else who might have followed her.
Chalice rolled her eyes. "Being alone means that there isn't someone around to hurt me. I don't know about you, but that makes it pretty safe to me." She sat up and studied her nails. They were too long. She scowled, daring them to break before she could get home to trim them.
Rijo sighs, looking away,"if you say so.." He didn't like bothering people, well.. truthfully he just wasn't used to being around people, so he didn't really know what to say. He didn't sense any danger near by, and anyone who would mess with this girl would be nuts. He knew tonight would be the full moon so he was a little on edge anyways. "well, you look like the type to bite a dog's ear off if someone messed with you so im sure you will be fine." he glanced at her, giving a faint smirk to show he was teasing.
"Sorry hon, but I never sink low enough for animal abuse." Chalice replied with an air of arrogance in her voice. It was unintentional, and it was also part of how much people hated her. Unfortunately she probably would never change. "So what's your name shadow?" She thought the nickname fitted him seeing how he dressed in dark clothes and stuck to the shadows. She didn't bother introducing herself because even people who only lived in town for a few hours knew who she was.
Rijo glanced at her, his light blue eyes seeming to shine in the darkness, which made the nickname fit him better as he replied,"Rijo.. last name... well, I don't want to know yours so why should you know mine?"
(sorry, he kinda has an attitude at times, its part of the wolfblood side in him)

((It's cool. Chalice's attitude isn't much better.))"Fine then Rijo, I guess I'll just call you Shadow since you don't seem like you want to share." She used her fingers to put quotations around his name as she spoke. "And who pissed in your lucky charms this morning? Even my dad couldn't pull off being that grumpy this late in the day."
"Then get out of the woods and make it a better one dumb ass." Chalice replied as she leaned back into the tree and closed her eyes. "No need to cry over spilled milk."
Rijo rolled his eyes, shaking his head,"theres some things about me, no one will ever find out. its not a safe place to be Chalice, and neither am I" He quietly walked, disappearing into the darkness, though his faint shadow could still be seen.
"Yep. The nickname definitely fits him." Chalice muttered to herself, but his words sent shivers up her spine. She wouldn't admit it, but she was unnerved by his tone. It's not a safe place to be Chalice. The words rang in her head and made her feel cold. Yet despite the warning, Chalice fell back asleep quite easily, dreaming about her mother. Unfortunately when Chalice dreams about her mother, she sleeps very deeply and loses track of time. It didn't take long for the sun to set and the woods to fall dark.
quietly in the dark forests, a distant howl rang, the howl coming from a deep brown wolf with bright gold eyes. It was Rijo. As he howled, he stood on a tall hill, his tail lightly wagging at the sight of the full moon.
Chalice jolted awake at the sound of the howl. She looked around the dark woods, her heart beating a little faster than it should. Her dreams of her mother always ended in her death, but this time she never made it to the end of it. Chalice pulled herself up on shaky legs. "Guess I should get out of the woods." She muttered to herself.
a few branches breaking could be heard not far from Chalice, Rijo's wolf forms shadow showing in the shadows lightly, though his eyes could not come into sight yet since he hasn't noticed her yet.
Chalice turned and started to leave the woods at a quick pace when she heard something behind her. "Shadow? Is that you?" Her voice sounded like it was about to crack from fear which Chalice would have found quite embarrassing and damaging to her reputation if she wasn't actually afraid of the shadow cast by the moon. There was a reason Chalice preferred to be alone. It meant no one would be sneaking up on her.
((sorry if I don't reply right away, im on my cell))
Rijo raised his head at the sound of his nickname before giving out a quiet bark to try to get her attention, his gold eyes where showing clearly threw the shadows, just like his eyes were when they were blue.

((I'm not the fastest at replying either))Chalice fell back on her ass as she saw what was creating the shadow. A wolf with yellow eyes that seemed to burn right through her. "Holy mother of..." She trailed off. Chalice hoped all those stories about the animal mauling up north were false. She also hoped wolves couldn't actually smell fear. Otherwise she was a goner.
((he shows his playful side to anyone when wolf btw lol and he hides it when human until he gets to know the person))
Rijo wagged his tail, his head low to show he meant no harm as he slowly walked up to her.

Chalice squeezed her eyes shut and was breathing heavily in fear until she felt him very close to her. She slowly opened her eyes one at a time to find the wolf wagging his tail, looking like a playful puppy. "Well I'll be." She breathed out in surprise.
Rijo barked lightly, sitting down as if he can sense her fear and doesnt want to scare her more.
Chalice held up her hand and reached out. She was feeling her confidence return as she noticed how he wasn't trying to scare her. Chalice almost jumped when she finally touched her hand to his fur. It was soft, which was unusual for a wild animal.
Chalice looked at his eyes and was surprised to find that they were familiar. "Shadow?" She couldn't believe she was even seeing this as possible. How could this wolf be a boy who she spoke to just a few hours ago?
With that Rijo looked away, his hyperness once again vanishing as he stared off into the shadows so intensly that its as if he was stareing at someone else.
Chalice blinked a couple of times and stood up. "Where are you looking at?" She didn't like this vibe that the wolf was giving off. Shadow or not, something in the shadows wasn't friendly.
Rijo's ears lightly went back as he gave off a warning growl. The growl didn't sound like a normal wolfs, it sounded like a wolfs mixed with a human. A few minutes had passed before Rijo had finally relaxed, looking back at Chalice, wagging his tail once more.
"Was there something there?" Chalice asked, giving the bushes a suspicious look. Maybe Shadow was right when he said staying out in the woods was a bad idea. She shrugged off the feeling and scratched the wolf behind his ears. "Who's a good boy?" She asked and immediately felt stupid in doing so.
"What's out there?" Chalice asked. "Are you going to show me?" She hoped that maybe it wasn't something to be afraid of and that she was just scaring herself.
Rijo sighed, slowly turning human which meant sunrise was coming soon. Once human he finally answered her, "a stray wolf.. it was nothing to be of concern about since it was new to these woods.. are you alright..?"
Myo looked into the distance and saw a girl with a wolf. She ventured closer.(Sorry if I'm blundering in on you D:)
Chalice fell backwards in surprise. "Holy shit!" She backed up against a tree. "You... You... But. You. You're... Whaaat?"
(its ok you aren't :) )
Rijo quickly covered Chalice's mouth, saying strictly, "you cant tell anyone!! no one you got that?!"

Chalice nodded, her eyes wide with, well at this point she didn't know what emotions she was feeling. She pushed Rijo's hand away and stood when she saw Myo blunder out of the brush.
"I thought I heard someone cry out... I thought I saw a wolf spirit. You're out here exceptionally early for adolescence." She looked at their clothes in the dim light. "Have you even left here since the night?"
"U-um... I-I need to get home." Chalice said quickly. She was still a little freaked out about what she just saw and she wasn't about to listen to a conversation about werewolves or whatever. She turned and quickly started walking in the direction of her house, hoping that Rijo would be too distracted to stop her.

Rijo narrows his eyes lightly, watching her before leaning back on the tree, quietly sighing.

Myo tried to follow after Chalice. She sighed, out of breath and looked at Rijo seriously. "What in the world? Did you do something?"
Rijo growled, "why do you suspect I did anything? she's the one who got close when I told her not to!"
(rijo is misunderstood so he often hides his emotions by being a jerk lol but in his wolf form its the total opposite)

"Because the spirit brought you to her. She screamed at you, when you came. I saw from afar!" She jabbed before sighing and turning away.
He narrows his eyes, looking away in the direction she came from as he murmers quietly, "she was in danger.. I had no choice.."
