Wow I love them! I particularly love the portrait that was made of you. I don't know you personally or haven't seen clear photos of you but even before I saw the writing under it I knew for sure it was you. Matthew Curry really captured your eyes and your expression. Love it!
As for your question, the answer is no for me, but I would certainly consider it a great honor if someone would. That's for sure.

Very nice selection of artworks you received. :3
It's always thrilling when someone else draws your characters. :3
My artwork and books/stories have always coincided. I made up a character through drawing over 5 years ago who started as a drawing and became a novel character. :3

I wish I had time/inspiration to draw again. Too engrossed in words, these days.I have a few character sketches on my website, here. I'm still finding my "style". . .

Deb I love that Braph picture by the fire! It reminds me of something dark and disney for some reason :3
Bisky wrote: "Deb I love that Braph picture by the fire! It reminds me of something dark and disney for some reason :3"Heh heh.. I borrowed a Vampire Diaries screen shot for that one... It had the feel I was aiming for. I have a lot of work to do before I'd consider myself a competent artist. BUt the words are winning for now... still trying to become a competent writer!
@Deb Great anatomy! :3 - I tried realism a couple times and I failed! D8 lol
I like drawing when I don't feel like writing. :3
I drew this yesterday and this today ;3

Josh wrote: "I like drawing when I don't feel like writing. :3"Oh, see? I always feel like writing, these days. Having to fit it in around work, child-rearing, and other commitments just makes me want to do it even more!
Oh, those are cool, Josh. Esp. your two girls back-to-back.
I've always wanted to have a go at manga-styles, but I just can't seem to quite do it. (You may have seen my effort in my gallery). Realism seems to be my "way". I just need to practice more so I can do it faster and better... and do decent backgrounds... hmm.. sounds like hard work.
Since 2005, I've been kind of drawing manga style. I just got lucky having some free time this week to actually draw some pictures. xD
Thanks! I use a 3d program called Poser for human body references. x3 If I don't have a reference, all my drawings are of people just standing straight with their arms at their sides. lol
I noticed the manga style--I thought maybe you started out doing manga and then transitioned into more realism. I gave up on trying to make backgrounds... haha xD I just like to draw for character visuals. x3

Josh wrote: "I noticed the manga style--I thought maybe you started out doing manga and then transitioned into more realism."In the case of those gallery images, yes, I did the manga ones first. But I used to pencil sketch all the time, and it was always realism I went for. When I made the move to computer art I had to relearn a bit, cos I suck at colours.
Ah, I was using DAS 3D for poses, cause it was free... But a bit clunky on my old, under-powered machines. It twould take me ages just to get a pose I wanted, so I gave up with drawing in general mainly for that... just getting a decent reference takes so long! And then the self-doubt (just like writing!).
Character visuals are good, and fans dig them just as much. Part of me wishes I could do my own covers. But my vision for my covers is far better than what I can actually produce!
When I was looking at your men, I noticed the Michael 4 build. :P I wasted a lot of money buying 3d products that I use for character visuals, too.
As you said, decent poses are hard to come by... >.>

Ha ha. That's funny that you recognise it... I have actual wooden models.. but it's just so much easier working on the computer directly... plus, if I use paper, someone would just come along and draw over it. At least I can password protect things on my tablet!
Or you could get a locked file cabinet. :P
Is this what your wooden model looks like? I was at Walmart this morning and browsing through the art aisle, and I saw this and thought of your post here. xD

Yeah, pretty much... Mine are about the same size as a Barbie (I have 2 for some reason). I used to draw all the time... thing is, I drew *horses* all the time. Still working on drawing people as easily.Yeah... there are a lot of things I could do better around here. Most requiring time &/or money. We'll get there (o: I'll focus on my writing for a little longer, yet...
I want to get this nice set of spendy colored pencils, but I don't have money I want to spend on those...
I've always been interested in just drawing people. :3 But writing is more important to me. x3
Bringing up Poser/DAZ again, I wonder if my roommate finds it weird having Victoria 4 models up on my screen while I'm drawing? haha

My published Novella (volume 1) has over 20 illustrations drawn by my husband. When he first offered to collaborate on the project with me, I wasn't entirely sure how the visual element would affect the story. Now that we're approaching the end of the project, I can't imagine it any other way.We spent hours discussing plot points and how the visuals needed to tell parts of the story Evelyn's words couldn't or wouldn't. They also give clues about the mysterious secret she's keeping from everyone. The only parameter I gave him was that I didn't want any color, so they are all pencil or pen & ink.
If you have the opportunity to work collaboratively with someone, I highly recommend it. The initial sketches were inspired by my words, but there were several places where his vision prevented me from getting stuck.
Here is the cover so you can see the style he used...
