Dance Academy discussion

where most of the girls' dancing takes place. there are ballet bars in a corner. boys do dance in here when they're wanted, but they're mainly in Studio Two.

Alice walks in and puts her bag down. She gets her ballet shoes out, wanting to warm up in them before going onto pointe.

Sam walked in.

Ms. Amanda Townsend, the ballet teacher walked in, ever so gracefully. She looked at the two girls in the room. "Hello girls!!!
My name is Amanda Townsend, I'm the ballet teacher! You can call me Amanda. Everyone does." Then she pulled her long blonde hair with pink streaks into a bun. She proceeded to put on her pointe shoes.

A small girl ran into the studio, out of breath. "Amanda!! You're here!"
She ran to give her what looked like a hug but it turned out to be a special ballet lift. Lily turned around and saw the other girls. "Hi, I'm Lily Townsend. This is my sister, Amanda. She's teaching ballet." Lily introduced herself.

"Alice Kayne." Alice says. She starts warming up on bar.

Sam joined Alice.

Alice feels warmed up so she stops and takes her ballet shoes off and pointe shoes on.

"I'm going to change into my ballet clothes and meet you guys, OK?" Lily walked back to her dorm.

Alice works her way up to pointe.

Lily walked in and took out her ballet slippers to practice in. She started to go through the positions.

Alice starts practicing the dance she put together over the summer. She knows that if she perfects it, that she might go to competition even though it's her first year.

Amanda stands in the corner, watching Alice practice. "Alice, are you? You have skill.." She admired Alice's perfect form. "I'm excited to work with you." Amanda smiled.

Lily started to stretch to get ready to put in her pointe shoes.
"Lily, be careful with those pointe shoes. Don't overdo it. You could seriously hurt yourself." Amanda commented, of course the protective big sister.

"Thanks." Alice says. She smiles, totally forgetting that people were with her.

"Amanda, I know." Lily said, clearly annoyed with her sister. Lily is Amanda's little sister, so Amanda puts up with her whining(normally caused by Amanda anyways)

Letty walked into the Studio and took off her sweat Jacket and started warming up, and stretching in a space near the mirrors.

Alice takes a sip from her water. She knew where her rough spots are and she tells herself to practice those parts.

Letty looked at Alice and then started dancing.

Alice looks at the time on her phone. She'll be late to meet her sister, but oh well. Kelly knows that dancing is life for her. Alice puts her phone back and watches Letty.

Letty worked on her moves. Before starting to work on her ballet moves.

Alice watches Letty, seeing if there could be anything done to improve her ballet moves.

Letty continued to work on her Ballet moves,

As Alice is about to go, she pauses. "Want someone to work with?"

Letty looked at Alice and smiled then nodded. "Okay, Sure why not?" She agreed easily.

Alice smiles. "So what do you want to work on?"

"I was working on my Ballet," Letty said.

"What are you working on now?" Alice asks.

Kelly, Alice's sister walks in. "Alice, where have you been? I may be patient, but being forty five minutes late gets me impatient." She looks over at the girl Alice is next to. "Hi! I'm Kelly, Alice's younger sister."

"Letty Quintanilla-Pérez" Letty said reaching her hand out to shake with Kelly.

"Nice to meet you Letty." Kelly says.

"Kel, go back to the room." Alice says.

Kelly nods. "I'm mainly backstage, so if you ever need me, give me a call." She hands Letty a business card.

Letty took the card and nodded

Alice watches her sister go. "She's so annoying."

"She's your sister, be glad you have one" Letty said.

"We're not even full blooded. Mom cheated on dad and had Kelly as a result." Alice says. She plugs her phone into the outlet to charge and for the music. "What kind of music do you want?"

Alice nods and sets it to that playlist.

Letty smiled then started stretching.

Pose comes on and Alice starts humming the lyrics. "So, are you a newbie?"

"Kinda yeah, my uncle enrolled me here." Letty admitted as she danced.

"What grade?" Alice asks. If Letty's in her grade, she needs to know who the right people are.

"Dunno, I'm 17 never been in school before" Letty said

"Seriously?" Alice asks. "I'm sixteen and a sophomore. Your probably a junior or senior. When's your birthday?"

Kayla walks in and sets her bag down, not paying attention to the other two girls in the room. She's aiming for a drama free year, even though she knows it won't happen.

"October Third" Letty said with a shrug.

"Then your a senior." Alice says.

Kayla plugs her ear buds into her iPod and starts stretching.

Letty nodded, "I know how to do traditional Spanish dances, wanna join me?" She asked

Alice raises her eyebrow. "Spanish dance? Pass." Alice walks out of the room with her bag on her shoulder, phone in hand.

Kayla looks up at the two girls. One of them is walking away. From the back, she can tell that it's Alice. She gets up, and puts her iPod away. "I'll do it with you." Kayla says. She's always up for something new. "I'm Kayla Knight."

"Letty Quintanilla-Perez" Letty said with a nod. And turned on Daddy Yankee again.

"Nice to meet you." Kayla says. She gets behind Letty to watch her.

"You too" Letty said getting ready to do a complicated Spanish dance.

Kayla watches closely to what Letty's doing. "So, how'd you find this place?"
