Mono stood with the boy. He told him everything. Mono never smiled, laughed or cried. He was a very stern man.
Erik smiled and asked, "Can I have a book?"

Mono reached up to a shelf and handed him a history book. "Here."
Erik grinned wider, "Thank you." He turned and saw Ella and Parker, "Ella!"

Mono walked back the desk near the window and continued to write letters.
Ella smiled her brother, but kept a watchful eye on the man.

Mono was always old fashioned. He wrote with feather pens and did many old traditions. He dipped the pen into the ink and then continued to write.
Parker looked walked around the study for a bit. Then he looked around. He was a bit nervous to talk to his father.

Mono looked up and saw his son Parker, but then stared outside.
On Erik's request, Ella went through the shelves for a book on mechanics and buildings.

Kanamra walked in she saw her husband; she walked over.
Ella handed the book to her excited little brother, who flipped through the pages. "You think I could learn to build something?"Ella ruffled his red hair, that matched her own, "Maybe."

Alexi entered the study. Parker glanced up from his book as Alexi entered.

Mono turned in his seat and then saw his beloved daughter, "Where have you been?" He was very plain about it, but his tone was just irritated.Kanamra put a hand on her husband's shoulder, "Now, now Mono, don't get upset."

Mono sighed after his wife had put her hand on his shoulder. "Go read Alexi." He pointed to the books.Kanamra smiled and looked at her daughter. She winked at her.
Alexi looked for a book to read and sat as far from Parker as the table would allow. Parker didn't notice when Alexi did that.

Kanamra walked over to Alexi; she carefully put a hand on her shoulder. "Meet me in my room after dinner." Whispering into her daughter's ear and then smiled as walked back to her husband.Mono watched her. He did not say a word.
Alexi nodded and continued to read. Parker continued to read books, by the time Alexi looked over at her brother he had a large stack in front of him that he had already finished.

Kanamra decided to go and find a book to read as well.
Erik tugged Ella's sleeve and whispered, "El, I hungry." He hadn't eaten all day.Ella immediately felt bad, she should have saved some bread the queen gave her.

With a swift movement, the king stood up and walked out of the room.
Alexi walked over to Erik and Ella, "Hello" Alexi greeted the two, Alexi was more relaxed around peasants, but she was always being very stubborn about things that her father told her to do. Parker continued to read
Ella gave the girl a small wave, to shy to speak.Erik grinned, "Hello."

Kanamra finished the book and then put it back. She looked for more books to read.
"I'm Erik and this my sister Ella." The little boy said making introductions.
"Those are nice names." Alexi repliedParker got up and left the room.

"I'm fine with it. My brother has a problem with Peasants. Ever since Parker was 10, he rarely spoke to them. It was after he broke-up with Claire Benson, who is now his friend only, that he wouldn't date any peasants. But as for them being around, he doesn't mind too much, as long as they don't get in his way" Alexi replied
