Jason Graves (cleverfoilhat) | 11 comments Hi, I'm Jason. I've written a few things. I have too many quirks to catalog, but I will say that I can touch my tongue to my nose; useful talent that.

I teach.
I like beer.
And chocolate.
But not together.

Cheers!

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 6 comments Thanks for the invite Rose, this has the promise of an interesting group. :o)

What can I say about me? Can't touch my nose with my tongue; heck, these days I struggle to touch my toes with my fingers. I have no problem touching the keyboard to my computer, however, and have to date published three ebooks. I am currently writing the third book of my fantasy trilogy.

Apart from that, I work in a library, love reading, drawing and painting; anything creative really.

Julie Powell (julie_powell) | 15 comments Hello all

My pen name is Julie Elizabeth Powell and have 12 books in a variety of genres.

I love to read, and help other independent authors by reviewing as much as I can. I also like to create anything from jewellery to cards to 3D art.

Thanks for the invite.

Martine (martinealaplage) | 1 comments Hi Rose! Hi everyone! Thanx for the invite!!

My name is Martine and I am NOT an author... but I'm definitely a book junkie! My to-reads shelf has so many books that I don't think a lifetime will be enough to go through it. I am also not a fast reader, I read an average of 1 book per week. I enjoy many types of books, but my favorite genre is paranormal-romance.

When I'm not reading, I'm working (I love my job!) or watching movies or television series. Right now, I'm watching Dexter and The Vampire Diaries.

Cheers!

Mainly necklaces, bracelets, earrings, although I did make my wedding jewellery including the circlet for my head. I like to experiment (like I do with my writing) with various mediums, that's why I like 3D art - so much scope, including encaustic art (using a specialised iron and wax). This kind of art is great for fantasy pictures and no two pics are the same.

I'm glad you've enjoyed my work so far - feel free to ask if you want others, Rose lol

You know what I just realized? I never introduced myself! Agh! :P

Ok, here-goes.

Hi everybody! My name is Rose, although I have several nicknames, some of which are "Pandora," "Butterscotch Bubbles," and "Rosie." I answer to them all! haha

I'm in my 20s, happily married to my best friend. We move around a lot and have had quite an exciting life so far. We're both writers, although we've never published anything- yet. We plan on publishing at least 2 books in the future, whenever we can sit still long enough to write them! ;)

I love to read- life would be so incredibly boring without books. I enjoy YA most of the time, although I read every genre out there pretty regularly. I don't have a favorite, per se, but seem to enjoy paranormal and supernaturally based books most often. That gets boring after a while though, and I enjoy reading non-fiction to bring me back to reality. In my non-fiction reading, I enjoy books about the Holocaust, WWII, Egypt, Ancient Greece, Mythology, and Native Americans, to name a few.

Besides reading, I love art of any kind. I'm a painter, sketch-artist, jewelry-maker, and photographer. I've been an actress for about 17 years, although I've taken a break recently to focus on other areas of life. I'm also a musician, along with my hubby, and we're currently working on our first album together! :D

I also love to learn, and in my spare time study subjects such as psychology, law, criminal psycho-analysis, massage therapy, cultures, and languages. I know, I'm random... :P

message 37: by Thomas (new)

Thomas Meyers Greetings, fellow travelers!

I'm a writer who still has a day job. I'm a nurse and have been at it for 7 years and have been pursuing a writing career for just as long. I began with trying to break into Hollywood but I failed. Then I decided to try my hand at prose with my first book ERIC ELMOOR AND THE GAUNTLET OF GODRIC. I'm currently working on the second book in the 5 part series and I hope to have it out early in 2014. I'm also on the cusp of signing my first option for a movie screenplay.

Next year I hope to have 3 more books out, one: the second part of the Eric Elmoor Saga, and the other two will be based on original scripts that I wrote a few years back.

But I don't want to stick with just books or movies. I want to have my hand in television and video games as well. I love stories and I want to pursue every venue I can to tell them.

Rebecca Porter (trolltails) Hi Everyone. I've been in love with books since Jr. High when I figured out I didn't have to read the boring books my teachers chose. I haven't stopped reading since. I'm also an author of a YA fantasy trilogy called Legends of the Aurora, but only the first, Blue on the Horizon has been released. The reviews are good so I'm really excited.

I read anything except romance. I love thrillers and magical fantasy. In my writing I love world building, and take special pleasure from making up swear words that fit the character.
