Rrrrrring!
School was starting and Jamie wasn't even at school yet! She ran the rest of the way.

she(or he. is jamie a boy or girl?) got there just before the caretaker shut the big golden gates at the head of the path that leads to the entrance of the school.

(Girl)
She sat in her classroom seconds before Mr. Hareld went in.

Her best friend Carmen passed a note to her that said;
"Jamie are you going to Jordan's party tonight? Bradly is gonna be there!
♥/Carmen"

Jamie smiled and wrote;

"Of course I'll be there. Can't wait!
Your BF."

Carmen smiled and did a thumbs up to Jamie.

They met at Carmen's locker when first period ended.

"So what are you gonna ware at the party?" Jamie asked Carmen. Carmen thought about it for a minute and said "I think I'll ware my purple shirt with my skinny jeans. What are you gonna ware?"

"My black denim mini skirt and my red tank top." Jamie said.

Carmen smile. "Awesome!"

The cheerlead captain, Rose, walked by, and heard their conversation. "ohhh, look. Loser one is talking to loser two. And both their outfits sound ridiculously boriiiiing."

Jamie clenched her jaw and was about to say something really mean, but Carmen stopped her.

Rose was thinking about herself too much to notice, "I bought this gorgeous club dress on the Bebe website. Its gonna be a hit."
"Would your mom even let you wear it?" Jamie said sarcastically.

Rose gave Jamie a disgusted look and walked away.

"Maybe I'll call her mom..." Jamie said evily, she knew how strict Rose's mom was. Rose usually did things behind her back.

Carmen laughed "If Rose ever found out you did that she'd kill you!"

"its worth it." Jamie laughed.

Carmen laughed "Lets go, there's better things to do than just sit here and talk about how to sabotage Rose."

"There is?" She said sarcastically. Then she laughed again, "Ok lets go."

The two girls started walking towards the science room which is where their second period was.

"This is the worst part of the day." Jamie said when they entered. She hated Science.

Carmen nodded. She actually thought science was fun.

The entered and saw Rose's brother pretending to be the teacher. He saw Carmen and winked. Unlike his sister, he was actually kind of nice. Even though he was a tease.

Carmen blushed and went to her seat.

((His name is Jake, by the way.))

"Jake likes you." Jamie told her, "But its a rumor. I don't know if its true."

"I hope it is!" Carmen replied.

"You guys would be so cute together!" Jamie said, "You should get him to invite you out soon. To the party?"

"I don't know...." said Carmen, she was a little shy when it came to boys. Well one boy in particular, Jake.

"I should get you guys together then..."

"NO!" Carmen said "I mean, I don't know..."

Science dragged on as usual for Jaime. But Carmen looked like she was actually interested in this stuff.

Jamie realized and rolled her eyes.

Carmen kept glancing over at Jake. "Just ask him out!" Jamie whispered.

"What is he doesn't really like me, and says no? I'll the the laughingstock of the whole school!" Carmen whispered back.

"Come on! He'll say yes i can tell he likes you!" Jamie reassured her.

"I'll..... think about it." Carmen whispered.

Jamie pouted, "Uh, huh. I'd do it soon, the sooner the better, if I where you."

"Or else some other girl will ask him out, and then there's no chance of us going out." Carmen added. "You make good points sometimes!" They both laughed.

"If you're not going to ask him, I be he'll ask you, either way."

"Do you really think he likes me?"
