Your gifs are so cute. c: I'm assuming you're a Disney fan?As for the roleplay, do you have any ideas in mind?
Who doesn't love Disney? I had one idea that's very innocent, and it's inspired from a movie called The Prince and Me.Guy is a prince from a kingdom in Europe, and his whole life, he has been pampered and given everything that he has asked for. However, seeing as he is the oldest son, he is next in line for throne and must soon find a queen. He doesn't believe and commitment, and instead chooses to be frivolous and meet many women. He decides to one day, sneak off to America and have a somewhat normal life as a college student. Girl is from a farm and has gone to college to further her studies as a doctor. She's hard working, driven, and isn't one to relax or take a break. The two of them meet, and things get interesting from there.
You're more than welcome to deny my idea and suggest one of your own. You asked if I had an idea, and here it is.
Very true! Your idea is really cute, although I haven't seen the movie, but I love the plot. We should definitely do that. I myself have been running out of ideas that aren't either overused or have millions of plot holes, so that's a no to suggesting one of my own.
Do you have a gender preference then? I'm perfectly capable of being either the prince or the farm girl. Also, your profile picture is very intriguing :)
Hmm, I don't have any preferences. I do like playing boy because I have a lot of face ideas, and I think that being the prince would be fun in this case, so boy I suppose? If it's fine with you!And thank you! c: I love Doctor Who with all of my soul.
Question though; are they going to be in their late teens/early twenties or more of a teenage age? I'm assuming the early twenties sort of thing, since the prince is about to get married?
Yes, they will be in their early twenties. And it's completely alright for you to play the prince. I'm very eager to see how you represent him, and it's honestly been a while since I had a roleplay that was one on one where I was the female.I have a friend who is very into Doctor Who and will not stop talking about the Doctor Who 50th. She doesn't have a Goodreads, but I have feeling that you'd like her :)
Great! I desperately need to sign off and study right now, so I'll have him up by tomorrow, maybe, if not by the end of this week. I have to do something tomorrow night so I probably won't get on then, but I'll definitely try for Thursday! The Doctor Who 50th is going to be so heartbreaking, oh my goodness. I probably would; I like anyone who can recognize the characters from Doctor Who, to be honest! There are quite literally no one who likes Doctor Who in my town. :c
That's tragic that no one shares your interest. At my campus, we have a Doctor Who club.I await your return on Thursday then, my friend :)
Oh dear, I'm terrible at getting back to people on this site. The internet and IB classes do not go well together, unfortunately. On another note, I'll be making my character soon! I'm hoping he'll be done by the end of this week, but warning: he might not have too advanced of a template because a.) busy, and b.) no inspiration at the moment.
And a Doctor Who club sounds like so much fun!
Don't worry about getting back to me when you don't have the time to. I understand and I'm more than likely going to have my schedule be changed on account my classes and upcoming important events that I have. You've got all the time in the world to reply, so don't feel compelled at all :)
Thank you! Yeah, school is a pain. /: My character is coming up next! It's a very basic format and I edited your plot a little, if you don't mind. I'm also on mobile right now and I can't see how it'd normally look, so I apologize if it looks bad!I hope your classes get better as well. I totally understand as well if you don't reply.

Birthtime: 7:14 PM
Birthplace: Birmingham, England
Physical Apparition:

(view spoiler)
Hair color: Dark brown
Eye color: Brown
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 143 lbs
Personality: Avery is a total goofball. He enjoys making others laugh, often at his own expense. At first glance, he may seem airheaded -- he definitely acts like it, but that's mainly to get people to laugh. Inwardly, he's incredibly talented. He can solve a math problem in the blink of an eye and his knowledge on history is quite large, not to mention having the voice of an angel and being a very dexterous guitar player. A lot of people would consider him quiet and mysterious, mainly because of his brooding appearance. He's actually a very outgoing guy, but in a quieter way. Avery won't go out of his way for a joke -- he's not one to scream and jump off a cliff -- but he's funny in his own, reserved way. He smiles a lot and, despite his illustrious history with girls, cares a lot about people. He's exceedingly loyal and probably will care too much about a person once he gets to know them better. He falls in love way too easily, which is one of the causes of him going through girlfriends like old clothes. It isn't because he's a player; he merely falls in love way too easily and way too hard.
History: Avery was the firstborn prince of his kingdom, along with being the only child, which meant that he was the only heir. He disliked having such a position of power. Avery would've much preferred being second to the throne; that way, nobody would look at him and expect him to be the good child, to marry the right person, to donate to charity and whatever princes did. Avery didn't want to do any of those things. His parents often frowned upon his opinions; they thought it would be an honor for him to be a prince and do princely duties, but Avery thought otherwise.
When he came of age to be married off to his princess -- and future queen-- Avery turned down every girl his parents sent for him. Instead, wanting to take control of his own future, he met girls on the streets. He wore a disguise, of course, but the girls were naturally beautiful to him and they were attracted to him as well. Still, he couldn't seem to grasp the concept of loyalty and commitment; he went through girls like good books, having a new bedmate each month.
Eventually, his parents found out. Sickened by his affairs and the amount of girls he'd loved, they sent him off to America to learn a lesson in a land where he wouldn't be pampered, nor would anyone treat him differently because he was a prince. They enrolled him in college in hopes that he would get his priorities straight; in the meantime, they could handle their kingdom themselves.
Other: Being born in England, he naturally has an English accent.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Your character is even more interesting then the original prince from the movie the roleplay is based on. And my classes have been good. I recently had the opportunity to work with someone personally in helping them give a photoshoot to one of their clients. She's a close friend of mine, and she needed someone to be her assistant :) I'll get right on making my character.
Aww, thank you! That means a lot. c: That sounds like a wonderful opportunity and a lot of fun! And again, feel free to talk your time with your character.

Birthplace:New Port, Minnesota
Physical Apparition:
(view spoiler)
Hair color: Dark brown
Eye color: Bluish green
Height: 5’8
Weight: 120
Personality:Olivia is high strung because she’s always trying to put work first, then school work, then chores, then, if she has time, she’ll do more work. Very rarely does she find, or even want to find, time for her to have what is supposedly what everyone is doing: going to parties, going dancing, and having free time. Olivia has been planning as long as she can remember to be a doctor, and being the top of her senior class wasn’t a signal for her to go ahead and rest, she put herself to even more work. She knows what’s best for her career, but she is still confused on what is good for her as a person. She’s a loyal friend to have, and she’ll help people around her who need someone to talk to. She’s incapable of helping herself at times, so people often to do that for her. By having such a high work ethic, she believes that she’s taken care of. One thing she isn’t fond of, in any way, is people who have the sheer audacity to think that they can breeze through a class or work, or life, and not have to put any effort into what they do. Olivia has had to work and strive for where she is now for a long time. She does enjoy a good laugh, but she rarely seems to be humored by the immature people that she always seems to encounter wherever she goes. She has high hopes for college, and prays that everything goes well for her there.
History:Olivia was the last of four children born under the Morgan household in New Port. And, she was the only girl to be born as well. Her siblings were all boys, and they were as rough and loud as could be. At least, that was how they were with each other. With Olivia, they always had to be nicer and more cautious about what they did. They treated her like the baby sister that she was, and they often embarrassed the hell out of her when she had friends over, or when they went with her to town. Olivia made it her duty to find a way to stand up for herself and not be as dainty and feminine as other girls. She wanted to be able to hold her own against her brothers, because if she couldn’t do that, how would she be able to hold her own against the world?
Her brothers were content with staying at home, and working on the farm to help out their parents with what needed to get done. Olivia, like her brothers, balanced school work, and farm work, but unlike them, she wanted to continue on her education and leave the farm and go to college. She was a hard little worker, and her parents couldn’t have been prouder of her. They applauded her for having such high dreams, but they couldn’t afford to send her away with the little money that they had.
Olivia earned a scholarship that would pay for the first two years of her college education, but the next two would have to be paid with the money that came from her own pocket. When she graduated, she already began to fill out her resume to apply for jobs on and off campus. So far, she has been unlucky, but she’ll still confident. The last thing she needs is to have a relationship on top of her college education and job search.

I love your character. She's so pretty, oh my goodness! And I like her personality as well; she's almost the complete opposite of Avery. Perfect. c:As for starting, would you like to start, or me? And where would you like them to meet? I had an idea where Avery began taking shifts at a local smoothie store (or any store, it doesn't matter) when he wasn't in class, and they could bump into each other there? I'm welcome to ideas, though. That was just something that popped into my mind.
I like the idea of them meeting at a smoothie shop, but instead of Olivia being a customer, how about she's the employee working there who is placed in charge of training Avery seeing as he is a new employee there? Also, thanks for the compliment :) I was trying to go the person who would be the exact opposite of Avery so the two would have a very interesting relationship that would change over time. And I can start if that's alright, if you like the idea that is.
I like that idea! And yes, complete opposites are always the most fun to play. I'm good with you starting, whenever you're ready. c:
I'd like to start if that's alright. I always prefer to take the stand point of a gentleman on roleplays. That means, I usually have the ladies, or the person having the female character, go first. Ironically enough, I'm typically a guy so hence why I adopted that :)Olivia had just blended together a strawberry kiwi smoothie when the door to the back room where the employees kept their belongings opened. She looked over her shoulder to see someone walk out who she didn't recognize. A new employee? It must have been since they were walking with the manager of Royal Smoothies. Olivia directed her attention back towards the smoothie she had finished. She poured the drink into a white paper cup, snapped a lid on top, slid a straw into the container, then handed it to the customer. "Thank you. Have a good day," she said giving an employee friendly smile. Once the person left, Olivia looked back over at the manager and the new employee. They were still talking together, and then the manager pointed over at Olivia. An uneasy feeling. Some over her. "What are they saying about me? Did I do something wrong? Is this some kind of test?" she thought to herself. "Olivia," the manager, Mike, said over to her. "Can you come here for a second?" he asked. "Oh, s-sure," she said not meaning to stutter. While she walked over to him, she looked down and suddenly became interested in the brown apron that she wore over her orange work shirt. Her fingers played with the pockets eve when she stood before her boss. Her gaze lifted up to meet his gaze, not the gaze of the person she didn't know yet. "What's up?" she asked to him. "This is Avery, he's our new employee. I'm putting you in charge of training him and showing him the ropes. You've been working here the longest, so I have full faith in you," Mike said. Olivia's heart fell down to her stomach. She wasn't ready to teach someone else when she only wanted to help herself with her job. It seemed, though, that Mike thought highly of her. She couldn't say no. "I'll do my best to help him," she said putting on a fake smile then Mike smiled back seeming to have bought it. "That's good. I've got to go for now, so you'll be running the store until I get back," he said. Mike already had his bag with him so he walked out of the store and the door shut behind him leaving Olivia alone with Avery. This was going to be...interesting. Olivia looked up at Avery and said "We should get started right away. Have you read the employee manual yet?"
(( This is a little longer then what I typically post. Since is the first one to start us off, I felt the need to add more details. ))
((You're fine! I'd much prefer a longer post than a one-liner without any substance. It was really nicely written too!))When Avery had first arrived in America, he had not the slightest clue what a smoothie was. He knew he needed to make a living, however, and Royal Smoothies seemed like a relatively nice place to do that. With the aura of a diner, the shop seemed inviting, and the people friendly. Besides, how hard could it be, serving drinks to customers? Avery had applied for a job there only a day before, and miraculously, Mike hired him. In the days preceding his first day of work, Avery had the opportunity to actually try a smoothie; he thought it was slightly peculiar, but delicious nonetheless. Maybe working here would have its perks.
But today, his first day, was only leading to confusion. Avery wasn't mentally prepared for the amount of memorization and responsibility that came with working, and he was baffled by some of the Americans' actions. Avery was completely out of his element. Which is why, when Mike paired him up with a pleasant looking girl of around his age, he was relieved. Hopefully she could explain things to him more clearly. "Of course," he scoffed, when she's asked him if he'd read the employee manual. He actually hadn't. He'd skimmed over it; it shouldn't be too important. "So what do I need to know?" he asked her, following her around eagerly.
"Well, first off, you need to learn proper preparation for making smoothies. Before you actually begin, you need to make sure that your stock of fruits is in check," Olivia said then she walked over to the fridge and opened the door. There were several containers of fruits. Some very common such as apples and oranges, and others more tropical like passion fruit and dragon fruit. "If you're missing any fruit before your shift begins you go to the freezer in the back room, and restock the fridge with what you need. After that you go over here," Olivia said and was moving quickly over to the line of blenders. "You make sure each blender has a container and lid. If one of them is missing, you go over here," Olivia said then she was suddenly by the sink "and pick whatever you need. You have to wash it first before you use it in case there's any left over smoothie residue that was from the previous day. Anyway once you have all of this done," Olivia said then she walked over to the display window and the cash register "Then you can start to take orders. Are you following me?"
((I'm so sorry!))Avery watched the other workers follow her directions with bewilderment. They were going about it so quickly, he wasn't sure how he'd ever be able to keep up. He barely remembered what she'd told him, but there was no way he was letting her know that. She probably already thought badly of him. "Yes," he answered her, his eyes wide and curious as he scanned the building, wondering what more could she possibly want him to do. A few customers were waiting impatiently by the cash register; the girl must've taken time off to help him. While Avery was grateful, he felt bad for the customers. It would take awhile for them to get their orders, with him trying to memorize everything that was happening. "Can I, um, take notes?" he asked her sheepishly, not wanting to forget anything on his first day and possibly get fired.
"Go ahead, and if you're not ready to begin yet, let myself or one of the other employees here working that you need someone to cover for you. Most of us know each other outside of this, so you should be able to make some friends here," Olivia said then she looked over her shoulder and saw a line of customers forming already. She hadn't realized that so many people were waiting. She hurried over to one of two registers, and started up the machine by pressing several buttons. Once the register was ready, she looked up and met the gaze of the customer with a friendly smile. "Hi there, welcome to Royal Smoothies. What can I get for you?" she asked.
"I'll take a strawberry smoothie with a shot of protein," the customer said.
"And will that be all?" Olivia asked as she pressed several buttons that were coded into the register for the type of smoothie that he wanted.
"Yeah, that's it," the customer answered.
"Okay that will be $6.50," Olivia answered.
Once she was given the exact amount for the smoothie, she tore off a reciept for the customer then she handed another copy back to one of the employees in charge of making smoothies. "One strawberry banana smoothie with a protein shot," she called back. Olivia met Avery's gaze, and she sighed softly. He looked very lost.
"Um. What exactly do you want me to do?" Avery asked, frowning. She'd told him what to do, but there were so many jobs, he didn't know where to start. Suddenly, he had an idea. "How about I stay in the front with you?" That way, he could ask her anything if he was confused, and he could get the gist of how a cash register worked. How did a cash register work, anyway? The technology was beyond Avery; he'd never worked one back in England. He'd never had to work one. Sighing a bit, Avery hopped up on the counter, watching the girl give out orders. "I'm Avery, by the way."
"Oh I don't--" Olivia said quickly but not fast enough because Avery had joined her at the cash register. She didn't enjoy having other people close to her when she worked because she often worked on her own. It didn't bother her when the other employees helped her by making the smoothies for her because they were at the blenders while she was up here. Not only was he in her space, but he was attractive. He would only distract her from her duties. She looked away from him when he said his name. "Olivia," she said back to him giving her her name. "It even says it on my name tag in case you forget," she pointed out to him. One of the employees working the blender fixed up a smoothie then put a lid over it with a straw to top it off. The customer who ordered the smoothie picked up their drink and left the shop. The next customer came up to Olivia. "If you're really that confused, then you're welcome to stay," Olivia said finally looking at Avery. She then looked to the customer. "What can I get for you," was how Olivia continued to greet each of the customers that came to the register. With each customer, she gave as friendly a smile and tone of voice as she could. It was a good distraction to keep her mind occupied and not on the guy watching her intently.
"Oh. Right." Avery blushed a little, realizing that they had name cards and introducing himself was completely unnecessary. He briefly glanced down towards his chest, and sure enough, someone had already made him one, although his name was spelled as Averi instead of the correct way. It almost amused him that someone could actually misspell his name, but the ways of this foreign country still perplexed him. He leaned back a little, watching Olivia curiously. He desperately tried to concentrate on how Olivia was handling the customers and how the other workers made smoothies and carried out the cycle that was the Royal Smoothie shop, but he couldn't help but notice her eyes. They were a striking blue, and it reminded him of the ocean just as the first hints of daylight emerged from the sky. When she turned a certain angle, they looked green. They were the most perplexing and beautiful things that Avery had ever seen. "You have nice eyes," he told her nonchalantly, right as she was about to give a customer their smoothie.
Olivia had been putting the plastic cap on a smoothie cup when Avery had given her the compliment about her eyes. Her hand added too much pressure to the lid, and as a result, the cup tipped over and spilled smoothie onto the counter and onto Olivia's hands. "Crap!" she mutterd then she grabbed several napkins and began to clean up the mess. "Get me a new smoothie please," she said to one of the other employees. The other employee outstretched his hands to help her, but Olivia shook her head. "It's okay, I've got it. Just please, get our customer another drink," she said with a stressed smile. The employee nodded his head and got back to work. Olivia threw the cup away then she wiped up the mess with napkins. The drink made her hands sticky. "Um, I'll be right back," she said then she hurried to the bathroom. When she washed her hands busily, she looked up to see herself in the mirror and was taken aback by what she saw. She was blushing? Olivia hadn't even realized she was doing this.
