I have several books that I am anticipating.
The Lure of the Moonflower by Lauren Willig. I am really looking forward to reading it but also sad becuase it is the last in her Pink Carnation series.
I also am a fan of Tasha Alexander and I always look forward to a new Lady Emily Ashton mystery.
And finally the Last Dragonslayer series by Jasper Fforde just tickles me so I am highly anticipating the fourth book
There are three books coming out over the next few months that I am excited to read.
Although I am skeptical that it can be as good as the original trilogy, I am looking forward to the continuation of Steig Laarson's Millenium series, coming out in September.
I read Mindy Kaling's Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? at the beach a couple years back and I loved it. Her sophomore effort, Why Not Me?, comes out in September.
Allie Brosh, the blogger behind Hyperbole and a Half, comes out with her second book in October, and I expect the same charming, hilarious, and poignant storytelling.

Yay, Armada! I never buy books, but I may have to pick this one up this weekend.
I am highly anticipating the newest Bird & Squirrel book which has both me and my son at the edge of our seats. It's hard to get some boys to read books in this digital age of tablets and computers, and this graphic novel is a must for those reluctant boys and girls!
As for an adult book, I'm looking forward to reading Hilary Mantel's third book in the Thomas Cromwell series which follows "Wolf Hall" and "Bring up the Bodies." It is titled "The Mirror and the Light," but it is not yet available in this country.. If you haven't started this series yet, don't miss it!
I'm looking forward to several books (many fantasy/science fiction because I'm a nerd).Half a War, By Joe Abercrombie is the 3rd book in a series. Classified as YA, but this book is also for Adult Adults. It's coming out in July, 2015! these books are page turners.
Another 3rd and final book in a series is Justin Cronin's The City of Mirrors. Not coming out until 2016 (hopefully), however, these books will soon be turned into major motion picture(s). And I really like seeing the books I've read adapted for the screen.
My last 3rd book in a series that I am very eager to read is Patrick Rothfuss' Doors of Stone. I hope it will be out next year, but I'm not sure. This is a really great series of fantasy novels.
What list of eager to see books would be complete without GMMR's The Winds of Winter. I've been waiting since 2011 to see what happened to Jon Snow, will the Hound and the Mountain fight to determine the fate of Cersei and Margaery, when will Ayra finish her training and come back to Westeros, and yeah...I kinda care about Danny.
And another series I like (and soon to be a TV show) is the Expanse series written by James S.A. Corey. Two authors who work together on the series, which is really well written. One of the authors is George R.R. Martin's writing assistant. However they write much faster than Mr. Martin. The most recent book, Nemesis Games came out a few weeks ago and is a fun read. The 6th book in the series, Babylon's Ashes, will be out next year. Pretty impressive considering the series' first book was published in 2011 and the books are 600 pages or so long. Fun series if you like space opera.
I am really curious to see what new J.D. Salinger books will be out in the next couple of years. According to NPR (http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-wa...) there may be several new books out in the next 5 years.
I've also heard that Cormac McCarthy and Thomas Pynchon are working on new books but I'll just have to wait and see.
But I have a lot of books on my to-read list to keep me occupied until these books come out, include the soon to be movie The Martian, The Country of Ice Cream Star, The Train to Crystal City: FDR’s Secret Prisoner Exchange Program and America’s Only Family Internment Camp during World War II, Find Me, On Such a Full Sea, All the Light We Cannot See, The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, Station Eleven, Without You, There Is No Us: My Time with the Sons of North Korea's Elite, Ready Player One, and many others.
Lastly, somewhat off topic...I was really sad to learn to learn that Michel Faber would no longer be writing. He has written some fantastic short stories and novels including The Crimson Petal and the White, Under the Skin, and The Book of Strange New Things.
Hi Ross,
Thanks for posting. I haven't read Joe Abercrombie but I have heard good things. I have read Station Eleven and The Storied Life of A.J Filkry and those are both really good.

Ross, I share your regret at Michael Faber's announcement of his plans to cease writing as I have also enjoyed several of his books, including his latest collection of stories. Also, we are planning to read Anthony Doerr's book "All the Light We Cannot See" for one of our book clubs at a later date so stay tuned. If you enjoy "Without you, there is no us," you may also enjoy "The Orphan Master's Son" by Adam Johnson" if you are interested in North Korea.
