I have thought lately about doing The Journey by Adam Hamilton

I know several adult classes that have done this study and found the live footage very helpful and Hamilton's reflections on the scripture very insightful.

Mark, thanks for adding the resource. I'm sure it will be a great resource for our CTC churches! Perhaps you can ask some of the churches who have used it to share with the group how they have incorporated it into their Advent Season.

There are 24 devos, each based on a single word from the scriptures, with a personal anecdote and three reflection questions at the end of each--so it's not strictly a weekly study. People who have used the book have told me that they read the devotionals during the week and then, when they meet as a group, freely discuss whatever struck their fancy. (One group kept the study going a couple of months after Christmas).
