PLEASE? ! I'm currently reading this amazing series and I was so excited to see it had it's own group, except it's been so long since anyone did anything in here!

Ack I almost forgot about this group! I'm glad you liked the series and I'm going to try my best to keep this thread alive- unlike half the inmates in the Furnace are...

YAAYYY I'm excited someone saw this!! I'm just finishing Fugitives, the first 3 are amazing! I am not easily scared and I was not expecting these to be so scary but they are really gruesome

Fugitives is great! The ending was such a cliff hanger though!
I'm not that affected by scary books as much as movies so this series was no biggie but it was defiantly gruesome!! I'm so glad there are more people getting into this series

Hi! I was just randomally searching groups because i haven't joined one yet and i stumbled upon this one! I loved the Escape From Furnace series and mostly all of the characters in it! I'm not sure if this group is um still ongoing, since the last activity was 2 months ago but this was the only group with escape from furnace soooo i joined! I hope you guys read this because my friend hasn't finished the series yet and i would love to discuss it!

This group isn't very active, but I've been hoping that is would be revived sometime soon! There really is no other group for this series (which I don't understand why) LET'S WAKE THIS GROUP UP!

So, @Brooke, tell us what you loved about the book, what you hated about this book, which character you loved, which character you hated, which death you thought was the most gruesome/sad/deserved, what monster you think was the most scary, what you think about if it was a movie, and every other thought you had reading this awesome series! (you don't have to answer all these questions if you don't want haha)

[spoilers because i read the entire series just in case someone hasnt!] Well! I really hated NOTHING about this series!! Maybe the fact that it ended i hated! I want to see what happens after to the characters! I loved everything about this book series! The characters were perfect and there was a lot of great detail that made it the perfect book! I loved the characters Zee, Alex, Simon, and literally all of them! Ok well i didnt like the characters furnace and the warden of course but they are the antagonists so it's easier to hate them :)! I loved Donovan!! Like his death was stupid! And Simon!!!! Like why!!?!? I loved them both! And Furnace deserved his death! He was just getting on my nerves and already lived for so long (same with warden cross)! I didn't really feel any of the creatures were that scary! Well the wheezers were quite creepy! And i would LOVE for it to be a movie! I think it would be AMAZING! Yes i have never seen any actors that would suit the amazing characters bu i would still watch it and i dont think it would ruin the books! As long as they got a good director and if Alexander Gordon Smith writes the like screen play thingy! Or a tv show! If they can break Stephen King's Under The Dome in a couple of seasons of tv then it would work for lockdown!

I have to agree, endings suck. I'm not saying it was a bad ending, I loved the ending and was glad that most of the characters got the happily ever after they deserved. But the series was so good I wish it could go on forever! But it had to end sometime *sigh* I never thought of trying the series as a tv show...hmmm that could work! NBC we have a pitch! (NBC is actually looking for new sitcom pitches from viewer if anyone is interested) Yet, I haven't seen any actors who really fit the image I have in mind of the characters, maybe Mr. Gordon Smith has a better idea of casting

I would totally get all my friends to watch it! I finally got one of my friends to start reading the series so maybe someday it will be popular enough to get made into a TV show or movie possibly. But, sadly, that doesn't happen with all books, or else there would be a whole lot more movies in production.

I would so make my friends watch it too!! And exactly, which is sad because there are some books and series that deserve movies/shows and then there are some books that get movies that are sooo boring!

Escape from Furnace totally deserves to be in some form of production at this time, with all the dystopian book to movie adapations going on (Hunger Games, Divergent) and the 'creepier' genre is more popular (zombies, ghosts, vampires) why not put some weezers in the limelight?

It says new sitcom ideas, but if you read the rules I don't think it ever says that it must be a comedy so technically you could submit any type of material...maybe

Scratch that, it says it has to be a comedy. But they do suggest that it you have any good ideas for a show but you can't submit to leave it on a comment on that website

Does anyone else think it would of went on longer?

I think it would be awesome if it continued to tell the after story of Alex and his friends! Like what happened to the world? Did many people survive? If they did, are they traumatized forever? Etc! Is that what you mean?

I agree, a lot of crazy things happened after the prison break and the entire town was ultimately destroyed and it'd be cool to see what exactly happened to those who survived and the effects of the damage caused by the mutants. The series could have at least added one or more books to explain this

I really want this to happen! We should somehow get alexander gordon smith to see this idea! (Well and if he wants to do it too!)

Maybe somebody could shoot him an email pitching him the idea and maybe if he likes it he could at least make an ebook like The Night Children (hopefully?)

oh my gosh he really replied! THAT'S SO COOL! I read the last book on my kindle and I don't remember there being an epilogue and even if they was it didn't answer what we were wondering. And awesome tell us what he replies with!

Oh my goodness! Well i just got his reply! He says there is a movie in like "development" but nothing is definite yet! He would love liam neeson as the warden! Thats a good fit! And he also said he may write a sixth book! (Well may as in it's a possibility but it would be hard because it would be future alex and friends) he said to say hi to my friends and have a great summer! Im seriously freaking out!!!
