Part 1
Pretty much what I predicted what was going to happen actually did happen and at this point in time “L” happens to be working on this murder case with Misora the suspended FBI agent. As I recalled in the previous journal I mentioned Misora taking orders from “L” himself over a cellphone. After having a GAUCHE convorsation with "L" Misora then goes to visit the first victims house which happens to be this wooden house near Hollywood street(Substitution/Inference). Believe Bridesmade was a very literal and CANDID man in the sense that he read a ton of books which happened to be in roman numeral order, he unfortunately was the first of the murdered victims(Substitution/Inference).
This part starts off as Misora entering the first crime scene which happens to be Believe’s house as “L” sent her there to investigate some puzzles or messages left behind by the killer that the L.A.P.D. missed. To my surprise it turns out 9 days before the investigation began the L.A.P.D. received a letter from the killer Beyond Birthday, the police investigators believe that these two cases have nothing in common but “L” believes otherwise as for this message came with a very difficult crossword puzzle. The NOVICE police officers and investigators tried solving this puzzle but in the end they all failed and thought it was some sort of sick joke and threw the paper away(example). Luckily for “L” ‘s resources he managed to obtain a copy of the original crossword puzzle while solving it rather quickly he comes to the conclusion that all the officers didn’t really apply themselves because thanks to this message “L” explains that 80% of what is contained in the note is related to the case. Misora astonished at what she just herd as for she did not see any form of note while overlooking the case files before joining in.
During this point we see a side of Misora we have not seen yet, a side where she becomes very arrogant and takes a very DOGMATIC,arrogant in belief; opinionated,(Definition) approach to the case and ends up with her feeling unconfident about her siding with the case. She has great reason to being opinioned as OMNIOUS signs of danger approaching her, although most of the time its her really focusing on either an item or person(opposition/contrast). Misora then investigates the crime scene noticing that everything in the house was wiped clean from fingerprints, from the light bulbs in every room to every page of every book Believe has ever owned! As Misora continued to investigate around the house, her and “L” come to a conclusion that Believe’s bedroom might be a huge clue as to where this message the killer left behind. Misora pulls out pictures of where Believe was found barren in his room with stabs and cuts all over his chest but Misora noticed something right away which was symbols carved onto the body. These symbols related to some of the symbols Believe had in his book collection that Misora mentioned had no fingerprints.
Then at this last moment she forgot to check one place which happened to be under Believe’s bed and to her amazement there was someone under the bed! As she jumped back pretending to hold a gun under her jacket this sort of dark figure crawls out from under the bed and stands but it seems as if his DIPLOMACY skills happen to be missing as for he has not said a single word(exmaple). On the other hand he then looks at Misora in the eyes with a very STOIC facial expression and says, “please call me Ryuuzaki.” while smiling.(opposition/contrast)
Part 2
I predict that during the next reading Misora and “L” which is also known as Ryuuzaki during the ending of the chapter will adventure out into the other two crime scenes and hopefully discover what message this killer left behind while also observing how these people lived and why they were chosen. I think that when Misora mentions that the whole house was wiped down from every single fingerprint on anything this could be a message itself because who else could be so clean in murdering someone and getting away with it because he was able to wipe everything he needed to but the whole house seems pretty fishy to me as in the killer must be someone Believe knew or at least lived or visited him often. What’s important to remember is that “L” finally showed himself but what was kind of weird about his introduction was that he was in the house the whole time Misora was doing her investigation so “L” already had a head start in overlooking the crime scene and then he was able to bounce ideas off Misora in trying to find this message the killer left. I wonder if “L” is going to stick with Misora throughout the story because he is a very wanted man for he does happen to be “the greatest detective this century” according to the book that is. The big idea was that a message was clearly found in Believe’s house or rather should I say on his deceased body as they linked with his own books he was fascinated about. This really struck me as kind of unique because even in the Sherlock Holmes series they would go into detail about how the puzzle happened but all the details they put in on how Believe was murdered is just insane in my opinion. I didn’t expect “L” to be in the same house Misora was investigating because they happened to be talking over the phone while Misora was in the house doing her own version of what she calls investigating. I could try rereading the part where she ends up finding the message on Believe’s body and maybe I will need to read a little more ahead to see what actually happens but as I clearly pointed out “L” finally came into the picture and now it’s a double steak out for both “L” and Misora as they continue finding clues and getting closer to finally capturing the killer.
