Once Upon A Time-[Advanced Roleplay] discussion

Marian couldn't sleep after she got all her tears out. She had so many emotions swirling inside of her and though she knew he shouldn't be able to Charming was the only person she knew that could put her at peace. She paced outside his dorm too nervous to knock but too restless to leave. Finally she just sat down outside the door.

Charming heard a shuffling sound outside his door. He sat up frowning at the clock. It was almost midnight. He turned on his bedside light before swinging his legs out of bed. He padded over to the door and cracked it open sticking his head out.

Marian had fallen asleep with her knees pulled up to her chest and her face buried in her knees. She didn't even hear the door open.

His eyes fell on Marian's curled up form. He frowned. What was she doing here and why didn't she knock? He opened the door wider and stepped out into the hall. Kneeling he picked her up and carried her inside his room.

Marian stirred slightly against the warm body. Her first irrational thought was that it was Robin but she knew that couldn't be right. She was still half asleep though so she mumbled what sounded most logical. "Will?"

He laid her on his bed gently. "No love. I'm not your brother." He said softly. He smoothed her hair out of her face and kissed her forehead. "Why didn't you knock?" He asked. He knew she was half asleep but he was still curious.

The voice was familiar and when she began to come to her senses it made her ache all over. "I didn't want to wake you, I... I just couldn't sleep." she mumbled. Promising to still always be there in a platonic way too someone you may always love had a way of causing sleep deprivation.

"You can sleep now." He said covering her with a blanket. He didn't know what was wrong but he would find out in the morning.

Marian mumbled something unintelligible and fell back asleep. No more trouble sleeping and no dreams, luckily.
When she woke the next morning she was a bit disoriented. She wasn't in her room and there was something warm pressed up against her back. She had a sudden flash of memory but quickly dismissed it knowing it wasn't real.

Charming slept soundly with his arm around Marian's waist. He had finally fallen asleep after he watched her for a couple hours. He involuntarily hugged Marian closer.

Marian sighed. As she became more awake she remembered everything from the day before. whe knew what the pressure around her waist was and she remembered how she had gotten here. And if she let everything else go and just listened she could here the off beating of her broken, guilty heart.

Charming blinked his eyes open. soft sunlight was streaming through his window and he could feel Marian pressed against him. "Good morning." He slurred sleepily when he saw that she was awake.

"Morning." Marian said sofly in reply Charming. "Is your roommate here?" She asked as an after thought. Marian didn't particularly care but it was something to get him to talk instead of listening to her own tortured thoughts.

"No. He's rarely here." He said. He never asked where Phillip went as he didn't really care. He wasn't on the best of terms with his roommate. "Can I ask why you came here lat night?" He asked softly.

Marian nodded about the roommate thing. She had yet to meet her own roommate. "You can ask all you want." she said quietly. "I couldn't sleep." she said it like it was a normal thing when she knew it wasn't.

"Why? Did... Did something happen?" He asked. He knew something was wrong and he was afraid to find out. After everything that happened yesterday he didn't know if he could handle anything else.

Marian didn't want to worry him with something that possibly would never effect him so she fell back on her oldest skill... acting. "I don't know. I guess after everything that happened yesterday, well my thoughts were going a mile a minute. I just needed something to calm me down so I could rest, so I came to you." It wasn't technically a lie.

He knew she was holding something back but he didn't push her. He knew what it was like always shielding himself from others. "If you want to talk I'm here for you." He whispered before moving on to another topic. "Did you have plans today?"

Not unless Robin changed his mind or decided he needed to talk to her about something. "My plans had involed sitting in bed, eating bad foods and watching movies because the weather is calling for rain but I ended up in the wrong bed." She told him.

"You can still do that here." He said. He wanted her to know that his door was always open. "We can sneak some food from the kitchens if you wanted and I have a bunch of movies."

Marian turned just a bit so she could see his profile. he seemed serious. But Charming was always serious and genuine, steady. "What does you taste in movies run towards?" She asked. Over the years she haddeveloped a love of BBC dramas, Hallmark movies and medieval action films. Not exactly normal but it's what you got when your friends were all guys but you were still a girl.

He shrugged. "I have basically everything. I like collecting movies so when a new one comes out I almost always buy it. Name a few movies that you like and I'll probably have them." He said.

"Have you ever watched The Prince of Thieves?" She asked him. That was the only movie she could think of that wasn't mortally embarassing to admit she liked. "I'm open though, my taste usually involved pathetic romances on Halllmark."

He smiled. He kissed her cheek before rolling off the bed and going over to his entertainment center. He opened the three cabinets and displayed all of his movies. "Pick your poison." He joked.

"Hah, this is a trick. You pick the movie and I'll get the real poison." She told him. She slipped out of the bed and padded softly over to him, glancing in the movie cabinets. "Yeah, I'll get lost in there. You pick I'll be back soon." She ruffled his hair befor slipping out of the room in search of food and who knows what else.

He scanned his shelves. He had no idea what to choose. He may collect movies but he never really watched them. Most if the movies still had their plastic on them. He finally decided on the prince if thieves like she suggested. It turned out that he did have it but he had never watched it.

Marian made it in and out of the kitchen with her load so swiftly she didn't even need ot bribe the staff. No one noticed her, she was just a girl, that's what the merry men always took advantage of when using her in heists. Ice cream, soda, chips, and some kind of dip that appeared to be made of heavy cream, sour cream and multiple types of cheese. She came back into the room and began to lay the stuff out on the nearby table.

Charming's mouth dropped open when he saw her arms laden with food. "Damn! Is there even any food left?" He joked. He didn't know how she managed to get out of the kitchen without getting stopped.

"Of course!" Marian pretended to be offended. "I didn't touch anything that looked remotely healthy or had less than a zillion calories." She informed him with a straight face. When he glanced at the food she grimaced. She hadn't meant to use that exact wording and she kicked herself for it.

He smiled shaking his head. "I picked the prince of thrives." He informed her. "Turns out that I have it but I've never watched it."

"Sounds great!" she said. She threw herself back on his bed and gestured to the nearby table. "Pick your poison." She said with a grin as he set up the movie.

He grabbed a bag of chips and plopped down next to her. He picked up his remote from his end table and flicked on the tv.

Marian reached into his bag of chips and snatched a few. She pulled the blanket up the her chin and as if on cue the rain began to fall hard. "I have to admit, this is much warmer than it would have been alone in my room." She said, laying her head on his shoulder.

He snaked his arm around her waist. "I have to agree." He said. He rubbed his hand up and down her back. He wished that everyday could be like this.

She was an idiot. Not just an idiot but possibly the biggest idiot to ever live, Marian thought. The Prince of Thieves, was she thick. It had been hers and Robin's favorite movie, because it reminded them of their own lives and now she was watching it after everything that had happened? It physically hurt. But she smiled and pointed out all her favorite parts and drowned her emotions in ice cream and odd cheese dip like any girl would do.

He knew things weren't perfect between him and Marian but he still had fun watching the movie with her and spending the day like a normal couple. He seriously hoped that they could make it through this. Because if they didn't Charming didn't know if he would be able to bounce back.

At the end of the movie Marian felt drained from keeping up her act. She wanted to watch something that wouldn't remind her for one second of her past with Robin. "Do you have and hallmark type romances?" She asked Charming. "I know it's cheesy but..."

Charming shrugged. "I probably do. I have no idea what all my movies are. What did you have in mind and I can look." He said getting up off the bed.

((You make my online life so difficult when you do things like that))

"Something where the guy and the girl fight the whole movie and get together at the end." Something where she was guaranteed a happy ending cause she sure wasn't getting it in real life.

((;P that's my life's mission Amy! And I have no idea what movie to pick!! Suggestions?))

((I realize that now. I don't know, um make up a title. I actually have been watching so many hallmark christmas romances I have the titles all muddled.))

Charming scanned his titles. He had so many movies that he hadn't yet watched and he didn't have a clue what to pick. "The wish list? That's a hallmark type movie right?"

"Yeah, sure." Marian agreed. That sounded harmless enough. "If I cry though no teasing." She warned him. "I am tough in life but a sucker when the girl almost ends up with the wrong guy."

"You can cry on my shoulder. I don't mind." He said smirking. He took the movie off the shelf and popped it in the DVD player.

"I will." She assured him. Of course she did. Right before the end the water works came and then she was happy at the end. Then something hit her. Would it really be possible to make a list that helps to find the perfect guy? Probably not. "That hurt, like, physically." She told him at the end of the movie. "I finished all the cheese dip I was so upset." She brandished the empty container.

He laughed. He was a little surprised that she cried at movies. He wiped a tear that had managed to escape down her cheek. "That's alright. You can always sneak and get more."

"Very true." She agreed. Her breath hitched just the tiniest bit when he wiped the tear away. "You know I like movies like that far too much. They make me feel good, open to anything." She admitted.
