Our second book is The Mote in God's Eye by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.
I'm a big fan of Larry Niven myself. I find he's very good at world building, but his writing style may not be for everyone. I've read one book by Niven and Pournelle, and found that they really worked well together.
The book is divided into four parts. Following what I did with Hyperion, I'll create discussion topics for each section, with half way and final discussion topics as well.
This time I'm going to set dates to aim for, to keep us more or less together. Let's aim to be half-way through the book by Nov. 4, and have the book finished by Nov 18.
That's all for now. Hope you enjoy this!
P.S., if you're still working on Hyperion, that's fine. I plan on continuing to contribute to the discussion.
