YA & NA Romance ♥ discussion

I read this book a few months ago, and didn't rate it and it isn't in any of my lists. Ahh! Driving me nuts. Here is what I remember:

A girl, senior in highschool (I think), abused by her alcoholic father, has a best friend that she stays with a lot of the time; best friend has an older brother who is almost out of college (to become a lawyer in Chicago?); Book starts off with the girl getting beaten up, running away from her house to a pay phone to call her best friend and the brother picks up. He comes to pick her up, wants to have the situation reported, deal is struck that he won't say anything if she comes to stay with him whenever she needs the escape.

Any ideas?

Okay this is super vague but it's been driving me crazy and maybe someone has happened to stumble across this series. I was just looking through random books on here the other day and came across this series but I don't think I added any of the books to my TBR list, at least I can't find it now.

Its a YA/NA series. I believe there was 3 books in the series, but may be not all released yet. Anyways all three stories were about about 3 different characters. If I'm remembering correctly, this girl goes to college with her brother and gay friend. I think the second book is about the brother and then the third about the friend. Sorry again sooo vague but if anyone knows what I'm talking about it would be so awesome. It's been making me crazy!! lol thanks!
