What made me more frustrated than that was Olivia's blatant refusal to answer what V.F.D. meant. It's killing me to know, so imagine the Baudelaires. Ugh. It's like no one wants them to know what V.F.D. is.
I love the nice characters in this series, but they're all push-overs! I kind of understand why Kevin, Colette, and Hugo fall for Esme's plot, but it doesn't make me feel much happier with the fact they're so nice but so easily manipulated. It makes the Baudelaires so lonely...
I agree. I don't understand how everyone can be so passive all the time. I find it really frustrating. I could understand where the "freaks" we're coming from kind of if they were doing this as self preservation but they seem to legitimately want to join with Olaf. Ugh.I like esme's outfit choice, though. I think it helped to convince them.
