I've just started Pagan Portals - Hedge Riding by Harmonia Saille. Intending to read DeVries book next. Will add links to my reviews when I've finished.
Well Pagan Portals was interesting, but very short. I did like the imagery of approaching the Otherworld through the roots, trunk or branches of the Yggdrasill. Now reading DeVries' Hedge-Rider.
I'd understood the hedgepath to be one which diverges from any set tradition like druidry, or wicca, and relies more on intuition and experimentation, but I don't know about books on the subject.
I have an interesting book about hedgewitchcraft: Treading the Mill: Practical CraftWorking in Modern Traditional Witchcraft by Nigel G. Pearson
I started it while ago and unfortunately never had the time to properly study it(i read only the first two or three chapters) but it was very interesting and well written and as far as i could understand it is based on anglo-saxon folklore. The thing i appreciated most is that the author make it clear that there are no fixed rules, underlining the importance of personal experimentation and practice.
