Roma | 10 comments I'm interested in learning about the way of the Hedgewitch but I don't know where to start where books are concerened as there are so many. Is it possible for anyone to advise on the best books/authors to learn from? Thank you

Mawgojzeta Hedge Witch by Rae Beth is quite good. This was the first book of hers I read.

Little Miss Esoteric (littlemissesoteric) | 1116 comments I've just started Pagan Portals - Hedge Riding by Harmonia Saille. Intending to read DeVries book next. Will add links to my reviews when I've finished.

Little Miss Esoteric (littlemissesoteric) | 1116 comments Well Pagan Portals was interesting, but very short. I did like the imagery of approaching the Otherworld through the roots, trunk or branches of the Yggdrasill. Now reading DeVries' Hedge-Rider.

Aaron Carson | 1216 comments I'd understood the hedgepath to be one which diverges from any set tradition like druidry, or wicca, and relies more on intuition and experimentation, but I don't know about books on the subject.

I have an interesting book about hedgewitchcraft: Treading the Mill: Practical CraftWorking in Modern Traditional Witchcraft by Nigel G. Pearson
I started it while ago and unfortunately never had the time to properly study it(i read only the first two or three chapters) but it was very interesting and well written and as far as i could understand it is based on anglo-saxon folklore. The thing i appreciated most is that the author make it clear that there are no fixed rules, underlining the importance of personal experimentation and practice.
